Great video. I also read the article. Perfectly said! I plan on keeping my 2008 Daytona 675 SE for FOREVER! And this video explains that perfectly. When the day comes, my D675 will be a piece of art to stare at in the living room.

I’ve a street triple ‘08 with intake, exhaust and ecu flashed that outputs 110whp on the dyno and still haven’t found any new bike from the same category that gives the same excitement of pure rawness of a twitchy throttle and no assists.. I guess I’ll have to keep it until the engine stops running.. (it’s my daily since 2017 and currently have 75k kms..) I wish I could try a daytona one day so I could compare both bikes.. sadly in spain they are really hard to find..

Very cool video. I feel like the 2013+ Daytona was the sweet spot. It has all the mechanical charm of the original with a bit more top end zest and a QS as standard (cable throttle too). I rode the Moto2 special edition on track and felt the same as you did. It’s a bit digital and way too buttery smooth without the mechanical weirdness.

Hi, can you please give me some advice on the Daytona's as you've had all the experience. I'm looking to buy my first Daytona (coming from a ZX7R) & was almost on the verge of buying a 765 Moto2, but am now thinking a standard 2013 onwards Daytona maybe the more sensible option. I will only ride the bike on dry weekends on the road, don't much like the TFT techno screen with all the options on it (actually prefer the old school needle rev counter) that I may never use, & also a worry about dropping & damaging the carbon fibre on the Moto. So, with all that in mind, is a 765 Moto really worth double the money of say a 2016 675 for road use?
@RyGriff2 жыл бұрын
@@stevesas632 in all honesty, it was for me but I’m a triumph addict. Auto blip down and electronics are incredible ….but you can’t go wrong with a standard 675 (preferably R model with Ohlins and Brembo). All depends on your budget!

This makes me think of the philosophy that Porsche has. Rather have it as an evolution than a revolution. I think Triumph would do well by producing 2 types of these bikes. 1 that’s exactly like this bike but called the r and another 1 with the Moto2 emblem but is a Moto2 bike with lights and a license plate.
