Just started getting in to these DMax (Sandown) after 20+ years of not doing any karting, so i'm on my 6th outing and trying to learn like mad, still 2 seconds to find to the quickest kids......love the enthusiasm for karting and it is almost matched by your rage at the outrageous behaviour of the other karters!!! Anyway, Good job, even if the marshalls weren't on your side this time! P1 is P1!

Actually I’ve just today booked my self into the Dmax superchamps season 2 Milton Keynes😁 so looking forward to it ! So well done for getting back into karting again for me there’s nothing better! Great vid. Enjoyable race! I was shouting at my laptop lol. Why people cheat like that ill never know. No sense of achievement if you win by cheating. Well done for staying calm. Did he say anything after the race? I lost my first ever podium at MK when a Formula Woman contestant dive bombed me under yellows at final corner. Was right by the marshalls but they did nothing. When I first started karting I also lost my first indoor win when my 22 second lead magically disappeared under yellows and I was then overtaken under the red that followed.

Your experiences don’t sound good, it’s a proper shame that the marshals don’t see unfair driving right under there noses, I can understand they can’t see everything but things right in front of them you hope they catch. @@thegokarter8996 Well you did very well to still win so well done. Yeah poor marshaling is so frustrating. It's lovely when cheaters do get caught though. In the BIKC regionals in 2021 someone overtook 4 karts under yellows and got disqualified after 😁 He tried to claim he hadn't seen the yellows but they were having none of it lol. Def mate, I do the odd open race at MK and Buckmore. Mostly at Sandown these days though :)

I believe the yellow flag applies to the section of track, not the whole track. As soon as you go by a un-lit yellow light, you can race at full speed again - at least, this is how they do it at Daytona Surrey. E.g. at 08:42, this yellow flag is not applicable to you, you are not yet at the yellow-flag sector.

What I think in that case is that the flag got put down has I was coming up to it he kart 112 took the advantage, I guess you snooze you lose!!! I do love chasing though, more of a buzz then being in the lead 😊

Hahaha great race - enjoyed watching that to the end. Why aren’t the Marshalls Black Flagging 121?!? Was worried you weren’t going to catch him - would have been worse then watching Verstappen rob Hamilton in 2021! Although would have been funny if the yellow flags had come out again on the last lap and 121 got past you 😅 BTW - you don’t have to slow down quite so much on single yellows!

Made it all that more exciting though …. well I can say that now that I won lol would of gone potty if I hadn’t caught him !! You just don’t know how much to slow down on yellows always worried about getting black flagged, then the race is definitely over !!

What was your faest lap? A couple of things to note. 1.) You slowed down too much for Yellows, in a race you would want to keep the pace higher and slow down with your hand up near the flag/incident, but keep 3/4 pace elsewhere, your were at half speed, or slower. 2.) You were much lighter than kart 121 driver, it was very visible eon acceleration and top speed, which is always a big advantage. He was ofcourse no paying attention to flags, or thought you were slowing down too much and thought that's a "you problem" (as long as he didn't get black flagged lol).

Hi thanks for watching and commenting Fastest lap in D-MAX is 106.4 Maybe did slow down too much but it was my early days karting so doing what I was told !!😅 I was definitely lighter then him but I wouldn’t say by much I met him after so maybe was just 5/7 kg lighter unnoticeable difference really I think Maybe I’ll meet you at mk one day!!

It was my very first time in the Dmax karts, I went the following weekend and my best lap that day was a 107.3 I have a clip of it on my KZbin channel . the lap record is a 103.7 have you been before?

Have you been to MK Daytona? Watching other videos with these DMAX karts with a speedometer they do 50ish going up a slight gradient so I definitely think they would get close to 70 if there was a flat straight long enough!! Any how awesome karts in my view

@@thegokarter8996 yeah I go fairly often to my not so much lately though as it is getting very expensive the dmax! They are certainly capable of 70 but I feel they restrict them ever so slightly! I mean they say you need experience but in reality anyone can get on them so maybe a safety thing, but yes they are awesome fun :)

@@lewiscb9235 Lewis, on the end fo teh straight at the turn-in for T9, the Daytona MK dmax fleet are doing about 58mph with me (90kg) driver sitting in them. They aren't 50 max. In fact the N35 ST karts can nearly do 50 at the same point on the track.
