Perfect tutorials, clean, concise and to the point without the meandering yammering and useless minutiae of the program's functions, history and opinions!

"a nice morning stretch" yeah? I understand it'll take a bit more for me (a complete amateur in animation) than a few basics tutorials to replicate genuinely natural/flowing scenes even at a simple level like this one, however it seems like even with all the pose sliders and extreme attention to detail between keyframes there might always be something uncanny about the movement from this software. I know I'm probably looking way too closely into this, but I really hope that awkward flailing was just a result of skimming over parameters rather than the actual capabilities of this otherwise amazingly user friendly program. Thanks for the demonstrations regardless, I've been tired of the guesswork with learning any other similar software for quite some time.

I feel you. Daz is successful through the contributions of its community. They will learn that when it’s too late.

As someone who has been developing for 13years animating for 5 I can say this software makes animating pretty simple and it has decent adjusters. It's not bad at all for animating I would definitely use it in a future project.You just have to have a good imagination for how certain actions look. The person in this video wasn't trying to make something perfect they were covering basics of how to get started and fiddling

Great!! Thanks for the tutorial :) How can I shrug the shoulders? I've been trying for a while but no success?!
@AquaExercisesWorkouts4 жыл бұрын
You can do it in the pose tab. Or you can rotate the collar and then bend the shoulders down

@@AquaExercisesWorkouts Great!! Thanks! Any tutorials you could recommend? Or is this one enough to create the animation? Thanks for reaching out!
@AquaExercisesWorkouts4 жыл бұрын
@@toddgattfry5405 none come to mind sorry, as Daz is not a professional animation software and it's mostly used for still frames. If you want simple character animations, you can achieve that with the help of Mcasual pinning scripts (Daz has a broken IK solver), aniblock and Walk It script. But if you are serious about animations you'd probably want to use more a advanced software.

By doing with the help of video reference it is more easier. Is there possible to add video file in daz3d so that to use as a video reference for animation?

Super tutorials, I'm new to Daz, I would like to practice the animation above. For this purpose I would like to know, how to make our model flex by lowering its pelvis? And also how do you activate onion skins in DAZ. Thank you

Best software. Only good realtime rendering is missing (like Reallusion, Blender Eevee, Unity and Unreal)

If only you you can get proper IK and animation constraints. This software served me well and the content is out of this universe, but without those, animations are really difficult to make.
@bluetounge4 жыл бұрын
Use pins for your constraints, select the joint you want pinned then hit the little pin icon in your viewport.

She didn't show anything about IK. You can't make a decent animation without IK use. She needs to show us how to pin hands & feet and move the hip around. We need a pinning methodology for only moving the left arm, or only the right arm, or only the leg while everything else is pinned. There is no example of this.

"I would then start to animate her legs ... but you guys probably have the gist by now". Lol. Try to move the pelvis now and keep her feet on the ground just for the fun. The whole Genesis animation system is flawed to the core, literally unusable. But for some reason, you forgot to mention that in the video. Weird innit.
