6:11 so this was actually from a real study. They took several kids of different races and asked them all to point to the smart child and point to the "dumb" child. Almost all of them, including the black children, would call the white kids smart and black kids dumb. Super heartbreaking that young children have these beliefs. Anyway, just wanted to point out where the clip was from and yes, i fully recognize that it fits very well into the videos theme.

@@st4rsholl0w First of all, let me say that I don't know for sure that Daz is, but his response to that one joke about autism, being so offended by it far more than the other ones with even racist jokes, seems to suggest that he might be. Secondly, I know it's an outdated term, like it's not used in the medical profession anymore (mainly because they now see it as just a part of the autism spectrum, rather than a separate disorder), but I didn't know that "asperger's" was considered an actual offensive word now. I have it myself. And while I know it technically is on the autism spectrum (considered to be a more "high functioning" form of autism), it's not as severe of a type of autism as you might typically see somebody have on a documentary on autism (where you might see them waving their hands, making noises, and outright ignoring people talking to them). What I have, is more of an intense focus on an interest or set of interests, to the point it can keep me from doing other things that are important, which is what asperger's typically refers to, and that's the way my symptoms are. So I in fact prefer using the term asperger's for describing what I have, because it makes it clear to others I might be talking to about my condition, that I don't have one of the more severe forms of autism that they might think I have if I were to just use the word "autism" to describe my condition. And that's why I used the word "asperger's" to describe what I thought Daz might have. He clearly doesn't have a more severe form of autism, like you might think of if you just heard it referred to as "autism", because I don't see him exhibiting those symptoms, though he reacted very strongly to the joke about autism. Daz the world really hasn’t changed that much. We may not have had the internet back in the day but the school playground was BRUTAL. Just days after Challenger blew up everyone was telling jokes such as “What were the teachers last words?…… ‘What does this button do?’”

i’m not sure if daz still reads comments, but this is the first video i’ve watched since his vine/closet days, i was such a big fan when i was a kid, and the tea party hat was the first piece of merch i ever bought. sometimes i check in here, and it’s nice to know that even though things have changed, that daz still gives me home-away-from-home vibes. 🖤
