My son’s elementary school is right next to Berger. I definitely got excited the first time me and one of my kids went to the top notch on burnet too. My daughter and her buddies used to go to all the film locations when she was in high school. Full circle all the kids these days have long hair and do kinda look like Mitch and his buddies.

We were in 8th grade at bedicheck. They were filming while we were in class. We had no idea what was going on till after the movie came out. We thought they were filming a commercial. When they are in shop class that's actually are shop class and are teacher that was sleeping,Mr. McFarland. Pretty awesome.to see him LETS GO BOB CATS!!

Was watching this movie that I have loved for decades now, last night. Watched another YT's filming location video done 5 years prior to yours....Its amazing just how much has changed in those 5 years! Especially the football field. Thanks for the video 👍

The liquor store where Mitch buys the beer is across the street from The Emporium and next to The Yellow Rose strip club. I could be wrong, but I think I am correct. I lived in Austin from 1989 till 2001. I used to frequent the liquor store and strip club all the time back in the day lol

No kidding. I knew they tore it down which is why I didn’t go there during my travels for this video. This was one of my favorite videos to film. I love this movie.

liquor store is on the corner....NEXT to yellow rose. it is still centennial liquor. and, yes, when the drinking age was 18 you COULD buy beer at 16.
