Thank you Jordan for vlogging such an awesome musician Willie Nelson! It makes me sad that a lot of people who were saying negative things about him and boycotting him because they don't like his democratic views and supporting progressive ideas. But whatever, he is super cool and who cares what people think!!

Jordan, I enjoyed this tour of Abbott and seeing the church, the house and the store Willie owns. Abbott reminds me of the small towns I grew up around in Missouri. I’m glad you were able to take us inside the church. As usual, your superb storytelling skills enhance and bring your vlogs to life. Thank you!

hard to believe these towns stay small. I am up in maine, right next door to the early 1800s church in a town of 700. I can smell when they turn the light son.. old incandescent chandeliers. It does mean something, if you come back to it. I was 15 to live here..came back a disabled vet 30 years later. I hope he keeps doing something for his old town.

I live in Austin. Always when I go up 35 I see the sign for Abbot but never realized it was so close to the interstate ( I always stop at the Czech Stop in West for Blueberry cheese Kolaches though!). Willy is an American Institution. My last GF went to high school with Bobbie's son and used to hang out at her house. Saw Willie riding his bike up my street in Austin one time.... Going to stop in Abbott one of these days

Willie has a great reputation as an artist , partier , rebel & " forgetting " to pay the IRS from time to time. Quite a humanitarian as well. Lots of nice detail in this vlog.
@2pi6284 жыл бұрын
No one should pay the IRS. It's the most Un-American law ever passed. It's tantamount to enslaving every American. It's immoral. Not only that when "they" sold it to America they claimed it would never effect the everyday American as labor was viewed as an expense. Thus, not income. Thus no tax on employee labor. Your "expenses" are your sweat, blood, tears, and time. $10/hour pay - $10 of sweat/life expense = $0 income. The IRS does not view it like that anymore. Fraudulently I might add. We have become the slaves to their bankers...the Federal Reserve member banks.

In 1986 he played a main role in Miami Vice , that was the world's most popular TV show at the time .Great episode, and put him in the internationally scope since Country music is mostly american. The episode of Miami Vice's season 3 was called ' El Viejo' , the old man in spanish, he played a retired texan policeman, so in 1986 he was 'old' , we are in 2020. Its shockingly fantastic!

😇🎉 Hi Jordan, It's always nice to hear where an artists roots are, and I had NO idea that, Willie Nelson grew up in Texas, but it isn't a surprise to know that, he grew up in a little town, because most artists/actors are from small towns. I think Willie Nelson is a VERY Humble Man and he is VERY down to earth. I enjoyed watching this video, and learning about Abbott, and learning where Willie Nelson, got his start to fame. Thank YOU for sharing this adventure with us.😊

Hi Jordan, great to see you, Breck and the Jahster all together again. What a lovely looking church, but the town looks way to quiet for me. From Leo: I lived North of there for a few years. I even ate a few meals at Willies place/ Carl's corner before it also went out of business. You did a nice job with the historical presentation. It is nice that Willie Nelson has a heart for his old home town. The times were so much different than mine in a large city. You illustrate a fact that is completely opposed to sentimental influence. I have never lived in a city where there was not someone that wanted to preserve the past, usually subsidizing it with taxpayer dollars. When a building, neighborhood, or even town is no longer viable, even massive amounts of outside money really does not keep a town functioning. You might preserve a building or two, but there just no way to make something the same as it used to be.
