I'm betting this is what's gonna happen: Stone will get tossed to the curb, which will result him teaming with Tom and Maddie to bring them into the fold. That's why we mostly see Shadow with just the two Doctors. Then as Gerald slowly loses more and more of his sanity, Eggman himself will team up with Sonic. I think Shadow is gonna go along with Gerald's plans right up to the 11th hour much like in Sonic X and SA2. The writers did say he won't be able to be talked down by friendship ideologies like Knuckles.

Especially since we see Rachel with her new husband in GUN uniform. That’s how I figure it will happen after seeing the ending of Sonic 2 a couple of years ago. And now I’m convinced that is the direction they will go. They will use JoJo in place of Amy like how they used Chris in Sonic X. And I’m bringing tissues just in case I cry for the poor depressed and angry hedgehog.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a perfect example of a movie going under-the-radar with the lack of advertising and releasing around/the exact same weekend as Avatar: TWOW. I completely forgot the movie was even releasing and I completely regret seeing it in theaters, lol. Praying Sonic Movie 3 is shockingly great and has tons of surprisingly mature moments like Puss in Boots 2 did.

I feel like after this, they're going to go full sonic. This is Jim Carrey's last performance, and I don't think they'd want to create any new human villains because the last one was played by Jim Carrey. How do you top that?! So I think if they make more, it's going to have to go full sonic with its villains. They could make a 4th instalment a pastiche of terminator and have it introduce metal sonic, amy, and silver. If the rumours about a shadow spin-off are true, we'll definitely get Black doom or mephiles. If they make the right decision and make a team chaotic spin-off, that's a slice of life mix with a mystery using the street level villains from idw, would work great for world building.

The only point of the movie that I wish there was more of is Amy and Rouge. Specifically, I think Amy's speech that get's Shadow to change his mind will be the worst loss if they aren't in it, followed by Rouge's burgeoning friendship with Shadow (and how she and Knuckles bounce off each other in a semi-romantic rival way). I can understand why they might not be in it, 2 other characters to share the screen would take up time, but even so, I do like their characters and hope they get in at some point. As far as where to go from here, I think Sonic Adventure 1, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Sonic 06 have the most meat on their bones for adapting a story for a movie.

It definitely feels like this is the end all be all for the sonic movie franchise. Its almost exactly why i wanted the third movie to be about chaos instead of shadow. Because chaos actually has a lot to do with knuckles history, and with the movies new lore for sonic it would add to his ancestry too. Shadow is just WAY to big to do this early for me, even if they adapted a metal overlord story it will never hit the same as shadow the damn hedgehog.

Okay, I get that a lot of what we see in these trailers looks really good, but I'm still really worried about not seeing any signs of Amy or Rouge. Don't you tell me that we don't need them, because to me this Shadow looks to be a bit more dark in behaviour, than what we saw back in Sonic Adventure 2. He won't listen to Sonic and his friends or Tom and other humans, because that would be too easy imo. We need a miracle here, especially after the controversy with the new Sonic & Shadow Generations game. Too many people are praising this franchise for all the wrong things lately too, calling the new game "Peak", while for me Sonic Frontiers was miles better, with it's own problems too.

​@@HdNinjaMsBrickStudio Well Shadow Generations alone is pretty good, but now we have consistency problems with it, because suddenly we have Sonic Forces and Frontiers levels in the new Generations game, even though the old one existed way before Forces and last time I checked you can't time travel both to the past and future at the same time, and Shadow wasn't in Frontiers at all. The good things are that Mephiles is back and the rivarly between Sonic and Shadow is finally somewhat explained now, instead of just Shadow wanting to destroy Sonic out of nowhere, plus I do like that Black Doom is back too, since I feel like before we didn't get enough of Black Arms in the franchise, plus Shadow finally got new powers to make him more Ultimate, instead of just using cliche guns. On the bad side though Metal Sonic got nerfed again and now we apparently don't need 3 Super forms anymore to beat his Metal Overlord form. Rouge's appearance got censored and it's pretty cursed this time, while Amy is "maturing" way too fast, like they are doing a character correction, instead of focusing on natural progression. A lot of dialogue lines from the old game got completely changed too and from what I found out, it was all done to tone down the "micro aggression", even though the game never needed this. The main story cutscenes needed fixes, especially the "familiar" parts of the dialogue, because in the old game Sega made it look like Sonic and Tails forgot that Green Hill and Chemical Plant existed, and I saw that this part was fixed and now it's better. At the same time though, Sega didn't bother to fix the animations for the new game, which made it look like the new dialogue lines don't fully fit with the cutscenes now. I don't know everything, but to me all of this just feels fishy and people overhyped it all way too much. Sonic Colors Ultimate all over again, but just a bit better, with more content too. Meanwhile, after playing through Sonic Frontiers for like 2 years, mostly with no spoilers, I only dislike the cyberspace levels and the fact that we didn't get a true 1v1 fight against Sage. It was definitely a great Sonic game and it gave me a lot of hope for the future, but of course Sega had to ruin it somehow. Sorry for bad English.

There is alot more they can do with the films. I think aomic 4 should take inspiration from hearoes. Giving us loads more characters at once and having the villain be metal sonic. And later they can explore other plot points. They could focus on Shadow and explore his origins with that demon guy whos name just left me. And bring in rouge for that movie or show whichever they do. Natrually later on they will do something with silver and blaze. They could take inspiration from the comics loads of great storys and characters there. And ontop of that they could just make stuff up. I think weve got a good few films before it starts to feel milked but even then they really could go full on mcu with all the abundcance of characters and lore
