A bit off topic, but in terms of Galick guns displayed in the anime, nothing will top the first one. Vegetas hair standing on end like he’s a prickly hedgehog, and his whole color palette being shades of purples is such eye candy, I don’t think any other Galick Gun came close to the same feel as the original.

Galick gun is my favorite technique. I love the purple arua, that shade of purple happens to be one of my favorite colors too. Galick gun is pretty underrated honestly. Its so cool.

Usually when Dragon Ball Wiki List an Attack as a Variation, it is due to the video games. The blast against Pui Pui was called Double Garlick Cannon in the Raging Blast games for example. No idea where they got that blast against Frieza though. Since Raging Blast calls it “Final Crash” a precursor of the Final Flash. Very Strange.

Early Vegeta had a few “enveloped in power” attacks. 1. The Galick Gun as mentioned 2. The moment he executed Nappa he used a similar full-body beam. 3. The explosive wave he uses both to destroy the mountain he was under and when he wanted to wipe everyone out after sustaining severe damage

What’s cool is how all of his moves line up with how now he’s invested in training with Beerus harnessing the power of destruction and unleashing Ultra Ego, and also how multiple villains while stronger at the time of his desperation, noticed something off enough to be cautious of his attack rather than take it head on to discourage him, it’s like he was always harnessing the power of destruction subconsciously but wasn’t aware let alone understanding how to really use it until he met Beerus, who also made him rage and display a dangerous amount of power to take heed of.

The Galick gun must've been 1.25-1.5× stronger than his PL to give Goku any trouble. Gokus KK×3 was 24k..plus the Kamehameha raises your PL. Vegeta was at 18k.

There is a possible debate if Goku was even still at 24000 after a prolonged session of Kaioken x3 though. He was injured from its use even before the beam clash after all

@irontail06 true...let's say 5-6k.. he's still near Vegeta but remember Goku vs Raditz? Goku was at 430 and went up to 1k with his Kamehameha..so regardless his Kamehameha should be 24k plus. It makes sense for Vegetas Galick gun or final flash to be that strong..look what it did to Cell.

@ Yes, I think both sets of facts work. Kamehameha is an attack shown with vastly more output than the user's power level at the time. It stands to reason Goku's beam reached 24-32k even if he was already very weakened from prolonged use of Kaioken x3. Hypothetically, it could have been something like this: Goku before KK: 8,200 During KKx2: 16,400 Peak KKx3: 24,600 Exhausted: 4,500 *Vegeta prepares Galick Gun* KKx3: 13,500 KKx3 Kamehameha: 17,000 KKx4: 18,000 KKx4 Exhausted Kamehameha: 25,000 Just spitballing around the idea Saiyans really can't raise their battle power and Vegeta's Galick Gun was as strong as his listed maximum power.
