Dash block -> wait -> if you see them superdash (a white marker goes around them, then into a SD colour) -> react after seeing that with ur eyes by using ur hands to press 2H

This video is amazing! love the detailed explanation and examples u gave at the end. I've a question in terms of prwctising dash blocking...I generally have no issue with 664 or 661 movements (general rightward movement) buy I'm really terrible with anything that is 446 or 443 (leftwards). I've been struggling abit with my ds4 joystick and even though I practise time to time, I often ended up either doing it too slowly or not moving at all. Do you have any practical tips for improving ds4 stick motions for "4"s? Or any video I could check out!
@NovaZayn3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Hmm interesting that you use the Joystick, it’s usually not too common since the dpad is more precise. I use dpad myself, & I had the same problem! All it takes is practice. A good way to practice is setting a bot to vanish into a 6F 5L and dash blocking after u block the vanish. Set it to play. Another one is with a -2 button: set dummy to counter with 5L, do 4LL dash block & see if you block it successfully. Do it from one end of the corner to the next, and back. At the end of the day, practicing the input in training mode will help out!
@ChongTeeLim3 жыл бұрын
@@NovaZayn Thanks Nova! didn't know dpad is the common way to play. Thanks for the tips! I definitely need to practise more dash blocks to get better at it! 😄

Yo when you dash block plus assist, when do you call the assist? Before the dash block or after.
@NovaZayn3 жыл бұрын
It depends which assists, but ur supposed to call it as ur dashing (so together). Tbh I find this difficult sometimes so I call it after (easier for me),?but my assist gets smoked sometimes. Great question

@@NovaZayn im asking for beam assists you know like gt goku. He moves forward thats why
@NovaZayn3 жыл бұрын
@@deruneldembal5048 most beams start behind you, which is why it’s best to do it at the same time. But you essential answered ur question, since he moves forward it’s best to call him before starting ur dash so that u can move in-front of him as a shield

Which side (left or right) do I have to be on to put in the 664/661-446/443 inputs? Is there any such thing as a back dash block or a forward dash block.
@NovaZayn Жыл бұрын
6 means going right, 4 means going left so just think about it lol… if you’re on the left side, you can dash forward using 66 As stated in this video, you can’t block when doing a back dash but you can block doing a forward dash

Amazing tutorial! Do you have any tip to practice pressure with the dash block? I am trying to setup the dummy to do that in pressure. Like 4LL->dash block/6M/DR. I am skimming through your videos and I vaguely remember seeing it but I am not sure. If you have one, I'd love if you pin it in the comments!
@NovaZayn3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Not sure what you mean 🤔 If you’re asking to practice your own dash blocks, then set the dummy to counter with square. Then use a character that has a -2 or better button, and practice dash blocking after that normal. You should block the CPU’s jab, and that’s how you know if you successfully performed the dash block
@Polopollo753 жыл бұрын
@@NovaZayn Ok I just practiced it is not easy, I will definitely practice that a lot! thanks! Is it just me or is it possible to also make it possible with a move that is -5? I feel I made it happen by accident! In neutral I am tempted to dash block then dash again and I get hit. I need to practice reacting properly to what's happening! :) Finally, maybe a quick question, but I have trouble with: sometimes when I jH on someone, they can reflect me after. (1) will a dash block prevent that? (2) Is it safe to always reflect if I get jH-ed on? I don't find a lot of resource on this particular case. Is this an option select?
@NovaZayn3 жыл бұрын
@@Polopollo75 it does take some practice I feel you but it becomes second nature eventually! It’s impossible on a -5, I think you just inputted the dash too early and ended up blocking like normal. You’ll know if it’s a dash block because of the dirt/wind that gets pushed back behind ur character due to the dash. The reflect situation sounds like they’re just mashing reflect. Usually jH gives you enough frame advantage to continue your turn into a true string, but sometimes you might be too high, too far, or you pressed it too early. These cases result in your next normal coming out too late, leaving a gap. You shouldn’t reflect on jH because a common string is jH into 2L low which forces people to switch from high to low block very quickly. Doesn’t sound like they’re strategically reflecting, just mashing it lol try to bait it with jH nothing, or tighten up your string/timing depending on your characters
