@12:07 : Is Relational database so called simply because the data is organised with "relationships" defined between data or because of storing the data in a logical structure table? Every data in any database exists with some or the other "relation". Database is nothing but collection of "related" data. There exists no data without any "relation". As per me, a database is called a relational database not merely due to the fact that it allows us to define the relationships within the database; it's because "the related data" is stored and accessed in the form of table(s).

Great course and really good explanation!! But there's a doubt at 1:22:54. The relation between lecturer and students is teaches and is given as 1 : M. But I think it should be Many to Many (M : N) because just like one student can learn from multiple lecturers, one lecturer can also teach multiple students.
@et.sachin Жыл бұрын
Same doubt for me too One student will be taking only one course and one course will be taken by many students. so it should be Student (M) attends (1) Course One lecturer will be teaching many students and one student will be taught by many teachers. so it should be Lecurer (M) teaches (N) Student

LOVED the way this is explained! 👏 Doubt: 1:22:30 If many lecturers can take many courses, why is the attribute of course ID not in a doubled ellipse?
@preetishsrivastav97852 жыл бұрын
Double ellipse is used for multivalued attributes since course id is unique and cannot have multiple values hence it is in single ellipse. Eg of multivalued attribute is phone number.

Why we use databases when we have excel sheets? Just a question asked in most interviews
@SCALER2 жыл бұрын
Hey @Sukhbirsingh, In Excel, the data will be available only if it’s saved. Users won’t be able to use it until then. Also, it can’t handle large datasets with millions of records in them. Also, filtering is very limited. In DBMS, you can use SQL to write a query according to your need.

Many a time, he gives examples considering a programming language. Hence, the examples will only be understood by people who have prior knowledge of programming. However, the title of the video is '... For beginners,' which creates a contradiction. A person from a non-programming background will hardly grasp things from the examples and may not fully understand the concept. The title suggests that the content is intended for beginners, but the use of complex examples may hinder the learning experience for those without programming knowledge.
