People are referring to the fact that Goku isn't dicking around in this fight. Dub or Sub isn't relevant here (Goku had like...one line in this clip). The problem people had with Goku in DBS was the fact that he was *still* dicking around even against, "actual enemies who are trying to take over or destroy the world". Pretty sure it was an actual plot point during RoF that Goku has gotten to the point where he fucks around entirely too much during fights. That just wasn't the sort of thing he needed to be told before. You can't blame the dub on that.

Vegeta immediately went full power against a weakened Freiza. He didn't screw around nearly as much as Goku did and he sure as hell didn't get so lax that he could get ambushed by some random nobody. The fact is the plot pointed out (several times) that *GOKU* has a tendency to play too much during fights now. Whis pointed it out when they were training, Whis pointed it out again before he reversed time, Vegeta pointed it out when Goku fought Black... I mean, the show itself makes a habit of bringing it up. I don't know why you think it's just dub fans misinterpreting things.
