Yes. Choreography, specially during the early Z episodes was amazing. In the Namek saga every blow had impact. Even Z lost this intensity over time with few exceptions like Goku vs Majin Vegeta.

Both Naruto and DBZ said "kill" on made-for-Toonami episodes. When DBZ Kai went to Nicktoons, they went back to saying "another dimension"

The seasons made for cartoon network were allowed to say kill. But Season 1 was made for another station originally stricter on censorship. If you watch the Nicktoons and Kids WB Kai footage, they say "another dimension." But not on the Adult Swim DBZ Kai

No one will ever forget goku going super for the first time on screen. I'd honestly love to know if any animated fights before this one even came close to the level of intensity each episode brought. Watching this at 12 was so ferocious and gripping, it burned itself into my memory so clearly I could convince you I was watching the battle even if I was blindfolded. Such an unforgettable fight and memory. Toriyama san, wherever you are now (heaven most certainly), we all miss and appreciate you and your work. R.I.P.

@@joelacosta2432 I remember it changed midway through the Namek Saga, at around the time Goku arrives to help Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin deal with the Ginyu Force. It was strange at first having to get used to the new voices and new music. Faulconer did all of the music from that point forward, which includes Frieza, the Androids, and Cell. His more thematic approach grew on me quickly and I'm as nostalgic for it as everyone else who grew up with it.

When Frieza says the core of planet Namek will explode in five minutes it's a reference to the fight between him and Goku was less than five minutes but the entire thing was shown in slow motion which is why it seems like it took longer but in fact, Each episode of the fight is about ten seconds of that fight.

I like cell and majin sagas.. but Namek is the best because in my opinion everyone is still (on par) with eachother or just a little a Stronger. To where at the cell saga and Majin saga.. its just all super saiyens and nothing else because everyone is so fsr outclased. I liked the scouter power level readings. After that everyone makes dumb videos saying oh gokus at 1000pp million.. etc stupid.. And the movies and t.v show today.. god forms and ultra instinct. This is one of the absolute essential component that i doubt for a fucking million years will be added again to a modern dragon ball plot since its inception, a no-holds barred to-the-death fight between the MC and the main saga villain in their maxed out forms with absolutely no help from their allies. This is something I didnt understand with them removing a lot of the brutal elements when designing DB Super. I saw DBZ on TV. As a kid!! So clearly it was for kids/teens already, or at least- it was acceptable for them to see. So I just don’t understand why Super did not try to bring much of this style, this brutality, into the show. Cause MAN it is missed!!

The fight was on par until Frieza lost stamina and his power dropped. You can see even from this short vid that Frieza with his full power was connecting some powerful blows on goku ssj. Who posted this actually cut the part where Frieza was beating up Goku so much he was unable to respond that happens before Goku grabs his foot at the start of this vid.

@thestrong2401 actually goku was holding back. Goku had a max power of 150 million and Freiza had a max power of 120 million

@@feline2322goku wasn't holding back they were both battle damaged so even if Goku had a slight edge in power it was still not enough to overpower Frieza until Frieza started losing power because of his weaker stamina, making goku finally beat him.

@feline2322 120 millions is 80% of 150 millions, so not that big of a gap actually, and it is never stated Goku was holding back he actually says he can fight without holding anything back or any worries after everyone besides him and frieza get teleported to Earth. Plus in the japanese dub when they have the beam clash where Goku uses his super kamehameha wave and Frieza uses his nova strike to counter it Goku actually yells "Full Power!" in japanese, yet it was not enough to beat Frieza who kept pushing the beam back and Goku looked genuinely surprised about it.

@@cdxltube9452 ofcourse it was my guy, but the point here is trying to say when we were kids, compared to other things we had at the time as kids .. This was pretty badass, we all know it was for kids but it was pretty cool to point adults could get into it to .. But how db super is, now a days.. it’s kinda of embarrassing, but I digress because again I love Dbz super season finales and movies .. And we all know, we are just remembering and reminiscing how it use it be

That sounds like Chris Ayres in the video instead of Linda Young, but I digress. When Goku fought Frieza, Goku does say to Frieza. "You'll be dead soon." I believe they changed this line in the Orange Bricks, I'm unsure if the line remains in the Funimation Singles. But yeah, in the Toonami broadcast, Goku threatened Frieza's life.

I remember being 10 playing w this girl I had a crush on & a 35 yr old construction worker I used to do small work for started rough house me & made me cry in front of her. I went super saiyan & punched him in the face, he got very upset sprain my neck. I totally blame DBZ namek saga toonami era the END 🤣💯

lol this 30s of fight are not even the most brutal/graphic too, in the namek arc there are a lot of other moments way more brutal. Vegeta beeing tortured by Freezer, Ginyu force sweeping the Z team until goku arrives, Vegeta doing a "fuck" with his hand etc... As an european i still prefer the original soundtracks too but i get that if you grew up with the metal music you like it. I like the one used in the Broly movie i feel like it makes it more epic
