(DBZ Moments) - Ring Announcer Meets with Goku and Friends - World Tournament Saga

One of my personal favorite moments in the World Tournament Saga, namely because I LOVE Dragon Ball. This moment is a nice throwback to the good ol' days.

You have to give Mr. Satan some credit though, in the buu saga. He was the one who separated the evil from Majin Buu, and if it wasn't for him, Goku wouldn't have gotten more spirit energy for the Spirit Bomb, and Kid Buu would have killed everyone.

I mean, he fought his dead grandpa so that a witch would tell him how to find a magical ball that would summon a wish granting dragon that was sculpted by a genie and given life by an alien so that he could resurrect a dead native man who was killed after he single-handedly destroyed an entire army after nearly winning a tournament where he turned into a giant monkey to beat up an old man who was really his master with a wig glued to his head. Shit, this isn't even the first time Goku died.

I love the announcer, I am glad this scene got into the anime, forgot if it's in the manga. Just a nice nod this guy remembers Goku, Krillin and Piccolo from the prior tournaments and has such faith in their abilities he knew upon seeing them at the Cell Games that Mr. Satan was full of hogwash claiming he beat Cell. The fact he says the tournament had sucked without them is a big tell, and shows the man is a lover of the martial arts even if he doesn't practice it; he knows TRUE talent.

The scene's in the manga. Mr. Alonsa is so glad to see them, whispers that he knows it was totally them who stopped Cell and points out how dull the tournaments have been without them. One part that isn't in the manga is the bit where Gohan is shown smiling that someone acknowledges his father.

Lamar Namou Media manipulation blinds the rest, to the point they almost go with anything Mr.Satan says as to what happened during the Cell games. After Goku left to stay with ChiChi, Saiyan problem on Earth, and Namek he had already won the World Martial Arts tournament and Goku was slowly forgotten. DB fans call them stupid and shit for not realizing it when it's clear as day as to why they believe Satan was the hero during the Cell and especially Buu Saga. The announcer has known Goku since he was a child in the tournament, it would be clear that he would be the only one to distinguish truth from lies.

Human Creativity In the later saga Mr Satan was more of a hero than he was in the prior. For the following reasons 1) Before he changed into Super boo he had convinced him to stop killing, and live a life of peace. Even Piccolo gave him respect for this. 2) Without Mr. Satan Goku and the others would have lost against Kid boo due to Vegeta's arrogance in saying the earthlings should protest themselves instead of just warping Gotenks and Gohan (Both of which surpassed Kid boo's power by a great margin due to being able to hold/destroy Super boo who was far stronger than Kid boo) But on the other point you mentioned yeah I can agree with you especially seeing as the media did do something like that when showing the cell games remake of how he defeated cell.
