@@TheUltimateRare ehh, it doesn’t really matter that much, Frieza was going to be as strong as Toriyama wanted him to be for the story to be interesting. Frieza was always going to be in control of the fight to be intimidating (until Goku went Super Saiyan) since that’s when he’s at his best as a villain. If we wanna put on our nerd glasses about it, Vegeta had a power level of 250k after fighting Recoome, compared to First Form Frieza’s 530k, so given how things were shown, Vegeta would’ve stood a decent chance but probably not enough to kill him outright on his own. We didn’t get any further numbers for him after that. From what we can tell Frieza transformed because Vegeta goaded him into it, not because he thought he’d lose without it. Regardless, I just found the narrator bit funny because we knew going into the fight Frieza had transformations, and basic norms of storytelling dictated we’d see them *before* Goku showed up to save them, so them speculating Goku might save his friends the next episode was jumping the gun quite a bit.

But like a an explosion it always vanished with the moment until now. At last the beastly power has been harnessed Gohan has awoken. Now Cell will battle a warrior 11 years in the making in the episode of dragon Ball z. I wrote this from memory there is nothing like it in the series it was meant to be the climax of the series.
