a little fun fact is that this was forshadowed all the way back in the SS arc, when Kenpachi was fighting Tosen inside his bankai, where he was thinking to himself, but then Yachiru gives him an answer.

Also when Yachiru tells Kenny "it was 2 on 1 it wasn't fair" after Ichigo defeats him, implying she could sense Zangetsu, and when Yachiru can't be found when Kenny is intensive care.

I liked the contrasting personality she had vs Zaraki. She was who he is as his inner self. Her obsession with candy and willingness to push Kenpachi around for making simple mistakes was funny too.

@@aidenwinter1117 He did steal it, however Zanpakuto always molds to the wielder. So if somebody got their own soul print on that Asauchi, Kenpachi killing them and taking the blade as his own, makes the imprint on the asauchi dissappear and it gets "overwritten". Kubo confirmed this on Club Outside :)

No need. Kenpachi can visit Yachiru (and fight with her mommy as much as he likes) any time he wants. It's called Jinzen. And as a bonus, doing his favorite thing in life will also make him stronger.

Given that he made Kenpachi's eye patch, I wouldn't be surprised. Seeing them pair up was a treat in both the manga and anime. They're practically the same; they're both crazy, they're both someone you really don't want to fight, and they both have been massively influenced by a prior captain. The difference is that only that one would rather fight with his creations or drugs than his own strength. Allies and enemies respect that fighting them, or being anywhere near their fight, is not good for their health. I see a blue oni, red oni dynamic with them.

I think Kenpachi needed a purpose to live and grow stronger and maybe thats why Yachiru took the form of a small child for him to constantly get stronger to protect her, thus giving him purpose.

Was always a fan of Yachiru’s mischievous nature. Like she knew she didn’t belong there and just did what she wanted. Also reminded of Kubo foreshadowing when Ichigo first saw her and ask “who or what is she”. Hope for more screen time in TYBW and if the hell arc does gets done.

I hope the anime adds some sort of scene towards the end of the arc (maybe in the epilogue or something) where Kenpachi misses her and hears her voice coming from his Zanpakuto saying "I'm right here, silly!" or something like that. It'd be a nice way to both clarify outright who she is and to nicely wrap up the story rather than just cutting to Ikkaku being vice captain and leaving everyone to speculate how he came to terms with it.

I remember being taken aback after finding out Yachiru was indeed a Zanpakuto. But not only that, she is a Zanpakuto with her own Zanpakuto and it has its own Shikai. It's a testament to the bottomless well of power Zaraki wields ludicrous or not. I think that's the closest explanation as to why a Zanpakuto can have a Zanpakuto of their own. Either way, I think Zaraki has a unique relationship with his Zanpakuto, a spirit manifestation thay was always present watching its owners progress and trying to guide them to unlock their real strength. It particularly stands out in that regard.

@Sovert01 I honestly agree. I really do wish we got an actual explanation for how a phenomenon like Yachiru works. A Zanpakuto manifestation that's always there is one thing. But one with it's own Zanpakuto and abilities? Man.

Thank you, Imran, for getting us through BLEACH'S drought 🙏 Yachiru/Nozorashi was an interesting take on how far a Zanpakuto spirit goes to be accepted and reached to its owner, like True Zangetsu/Hollow Zangetsu whom kept being rejected by Ichigo throughout the seires. I would like to get another ( What - If) videos in the future cause I really enjoyed the what if Aizen never was evil video. What if scenarios like: - What If Yhwach approached Ichigo in chapter 1 and had him join the Wandenreich, especially that Ichigo would agree to the world Yhwach would create cause Ichigo didn't overcome his grief . - What if Ichigo got access to his True Zanpakuto earlier. - What if Ulquiorra and Starkk survived. - What if Urahara Kisuke adapted Aizen's mindset and turned to be a villain.

I think in a moment Kenpachi was really lonely and wanted a friend. While he loved his battles there was a loneliness there no one to share his success with. His sword sensed that and granted him one while knowing it would be sometime before he actually knew what its name was the friend it sent would help with that one day. Yachuri will always be there for her bestest friend Kenny. My personal head canon for Kenpachi and Yachuri after learning, she is his sword's spirit and the image of him sitting down around the corpses before her introduction in the story.

Imo it would have been way cooler if Kenpachi and Yachiru could have had a similar thing as Coyote Stark and Lilynet....i.e. if Yachiru would still continue to manifest like before when he wasn't using his shikai or bankai (kind of like pikachu refusing to stay in the pokeball)....and even in shikai state the sword would still talk aloud like Stark's pistols....the bankai is good as it is.

I never really thought Yachirus existence was a mystery, I got an idea what she was back when we first saw the backstory for Stark. The resemblance between the two are very similar. I thought if stark can do it why cant kenpachi at the time when he didnt know his zanpaktos name, even more so being a Captain. Plus a little kid being a Lt, cmon it was right in our face. Then practically confirmed it when they showed kenpachis flashback.

I went back and forth on the matter for a long time. I noticed after Kenpachi's fight with Ichigo that he told Yachiru to "shut up a minute" then immediately asked his broken sword what it's name was. And in the flashback the first thing he asked her was where she came from and she answered by touching his zanpakuto. She said before that moment her whole world had been drenched in blood. What threw me off was that Yachiru had a distinct zanpakuto of her own, while every other we'd seen a zanpakuto spirit wield a blade it was shaped like the zanpakuto (and I think the Zanpakuto Rebellion filler arc played into my assumption).

pretty much, like literally the only reason kenny can use bankai is cause of her telling him the name, even telling him she gave too much power to him that it was ripping his arms apart, shes just gone since she doesn't need to exist outside anymore

This is an example of ppl trying ro cover an authors mistakes. The final arc of bleach was a mishmash of ideas and plot holes. Kubo was told that bleach only had a few chapters left when he was in the final arc and had to rush out ideas. Yachiru beign kenoachis sword is one of them. Showing her off with her own sword and even showing off kenpachis sword spirit in the anime shows that they are not the same. For those of you thinking that the anime osnt canon that story was har kubo heavily involed and every sword design was made by him also. The new anime is literally changing the arc because it was such a fucking mess and lacked sooo much background knowledge. To say later actually this wasnt a writting mistake and this is the one instay in the history of the entire show where a sword has a different sword, and don't look at it too hard. The amount of ppl who say the final arc was good that didn't read it is crazy to me and are lucky the anime is fixing the arc so they dont have to defend it anymore.
