Agree with you.Rutu's PR is the strongest at this point, he has pretty much average performance but they're hyping him so much that deserving players are being left out. For eg his domestic stats are so poor as compared to others but he gets more hype because of PR

Because literally everyone is making troll videos of him and milking views by fooling general audience, they don't have cricket knowledge and how things work in the process of selection in the team. In terms of Gill,so he has been under the eyes of selection committee from u19 itself so obviously they know his potential. It's a long process but people can't understand this

His PR failed to encash on many good innings and highs, his century against Shaheen Afridi’s Pakistan (u19), Double century, Dominating against Pak in last Asia Cup, 91 and 52 against Eng etc. Even Gabba innings got some hype after a long while. He is lacking confidence these days, now its upto him when will he break free from all this. If he gets consistent after all this hate, it can be an epic story!

Shubman Gill's PR is doing great in marketing and branding only they are not at all hyping his performance and that's the biggest mistake they are doing. If you see performance wise he is way ahead of Gaikwad but still gets compared with him because of PR failure. Rutu's PR is strongest atp ,u can't convince me otherwise

Good discussion about PR. I remember in the u19 wc 2018, all promos and chats were about Prithvi Shaw or ‘the next Sachin’ however it was Gill who was the PoTT. Gill used to be benched (for abt a year) to make place for Shaw in the Indian team but the Gabba innings when he replaced Shaw was the turning point (ironically he permanently replaced him). That’s y PR alone can’t help if the player is unable to make any contribution or doesn’t show signs of improvement.
