Thank you very much for this valuable information.

Good video. I played with MuMetal many years ago and yes, it does saturate very easily.

Very good info. I'm building a magnetic motor and i need to shiled parts of the magnets. Let's say i have north on the surface of the rotor and the south inside the rotor interfere with the stator in the following way. Betwen 2 magnets at the center i get an atracting force that comes from inside rotor(the bottom of te magnets). Now i need to shield most of the rotor and leave alone the part at is repeling so i get my kinetic force. My question is : Is it possible to shiled parts of the magnets and leave alone lets say half of north side of magnet that is at the top of my rotor with any of this materials you present in your video ? Keep in mind i have to shield all the rotor and leave untouch just the exterior of rotor where i get the repeling force betwen rotor and stator(i have to shiled the stator too in a similar way). What material you think will be best to use in my situation ? Thank you in advance

If I understand your application, you cannot do it. Remember, a magnetic will always have a N and S pole. You cannot eliminate one of them. You CAN move the location of the pole with magnetic shielding.

please i have inquires (very important before ordering) 1- does the magnet attracted to the shield ? if yes then 2- which stronger in attraction to the magnet. the shield or the ferrite ? if shield weaker how much times it weaker than ferrite ? 3- which stronger in attraction to the magnet. the shield or the steel? if shield weaker how much times it weaker than steel? if the attraction weaker then it will be great product. regards

Yes, magnets are attracted to ALL magnetic shielding materials. Attraction is the same to the various materials.

Hi, is their any metal which can reduce or magnetic filed and at same time does not allow magnet to be attractive towards itself? Thanks!

No, sorry.

Does changing the shielding position require significant force, does the magnet attract this shielding?
@LessEMF7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it does.

which material should I use for a super strong magnet which can carry 300 kgm in air
@LessEMF8 жыл бұрын
You can use Giron or MagnetShield. See www.lessemf.com/mag-shld.html You will need several layers of either material.

Hello , i am just wondering how much the thickness of that sheet of mu metal which you had used ?
@LessEMF8 жыл бұрын
I believe it was the .004 inch thickness.

SO I want a 1m2 of paper shield that is about 0.5 to 1 centimeter thick I need something that doesn't interfere with the magnet but still shields it :) how much does the paper one cost and how much the MU metal ?
@LessEMF9 жыл бұрын
PaperShield is less than 1 mm thick. and it is attracted to the magnet. PaperShield is 36 inches wide and is priced per foot long at $14.22. We offer an alloy similar to mumetal called Magnetic Shielding Foil. It is 15 inches wide, x .004" thick and is priced at $24.95 per foot long.

I need that one that is less attracted to the metal and and blocks magnetic flux with highest possible efficiency. Also you should try to sell the material that has no influence from the magnet but still insulates best

which is the least attracted by the magnet?
@LessEMF9 жыл бұрын
ALL magnetic shielding materials are strongly attracted to magnets. No exceptions.

I want to know does mu metals produce resistance when moving through a strong magnetic field? I mean can I use it like a switch for magnetic flux without much of consumption?
@vladimirnachev3249 жыл бұрын
Also isn't the magnetic shield same alloy as mu metal?
@LessEMF9 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is attracted to the magnet. Mumetal is one type of magnetic shielding alloy. As you can see from the video, there are many alloys used for magnetic shielding.
