Lulu, what freezer do you have? I’m looking for one for my vintage trailer to just do the ice packs in. Yours is the right size. I have a much larger one for our big rv but I don’t want to take it in my vintage. Thanks!

I have the brand DOC, I got it on Amazon but I see they don't carry it anymore. it's 9 qt. so any 9 qt. fridge/freezer should work well. I think Alpicool carries one that small.

Congrats Lulu! I installed a DC-DC charger in my DIY electrical system when I built out my Promaster City. The charger has kept my battery (1200 watt-hr) fully charged, automatically, all the time. The only time I’ve seen the battery get down to 50% is when I was camped for more than 3-4 days. Even that’s not an issue: just start the engine, and charge the battery. I’m just now installing the wiring for solar, and will only use solar to keep the battery topped up when in camping mode. IMHO, the DC charger is definitely the way to go. Cheers! Doug

So glad to hear you're sorting out your power issues, Lulu! I know it's been a struggle for a while. I don't want to rain on your blissful parade, but... do you know if that new charging box under your bed radiates an electromagnetic field (EMF)? I always keep electronic gadgets away from my sleeping space. It makes me crazy when I see folks charging their phone right beside the bed while they're sleeping. There are a few things you can do to offset any EMF effects. One is to place a magnetic barrier between you and the radiation field. It's a big reason they make magnetic mattresses, but even some high gauss-rated earth magnets around the charging box would help a lot. Earth magnets under your mattress would also help buffer you from the EM fields created by your Bluetti and the freezer. This information is right in my wheelhouse, Lulu, but you may want to run it past your natural health advisor, because I know you trust her judgment. Just looking out for you in my own way!

Just be aware that the engine will be working harder when the dc-dc is running ... So keep an eye on the engine temp (especially in the summer when the AirCon is running), and watch out for problems starting. That's quite a high power charger for a modest engine/alternator to handle. My sienna has a similar engine/alternator and I went safe with a charger 1/3 the size of yours.

I love that you have that monster of a power station because it’s exactly what you need to be sure you continue to eat what you want, the way you want it, when you want it. I also love the learning process along the way. You’ve talked about the struggles of keeping the BLUETTI charged up and some of the solutions you came up with along the way. That is awesome, Lulu! 🤯🤩 What a Game Changer!! Hopefully there will come a day when an RV rig can fully recharge all it's power needs in a sort of cycling circuit, electrical or otherwise. There are a lot of RVers like me who prefer to camp in wetter or even snowy states where solar really isn't very useful at all.

Make sure you find out what voltage of fuses (I think that's the correct term 😅) your car uses, and the breaker box he installed so you can buy some extras to go in your little tool box ...just in case you ever blow one. I'm sure you'll watch him change it out. They're pretty easy to install.

Hi Lulu! Tonight my husband and I were busy and getting home late. My husband wanted Burger King for dinner and I said “no I am going to eat Lulu’s way.” So I ran into the store and bought a ready made package of Basmati rice to microwave, a package of portobello mushrooms, red onion, red pepper, and cabbage, and a rotisserie chicken. I got home and tossed it in a skillet with olive oil and microwaved the rice for 90 seconds and tossed it all together and I was eating dinner in less then 10 minutes. When I finished eating I felt great and not yuck like I usually do after eating fast food. And I made enough food that I packed up in containers that has given me enough for three meals easily. So my dinner may have been more expensive then fast food but in the full scope of how many meals I will get out of what I bought for tonight then it’s not as expensive as fast food and was very affordable. :) Also if your still reading I watched tonight a video of where you met a fan “carol”. I live in Deltona Florida which is just a few miles from Deland. I know you’ve been to Deland and thought that would help reference where I am. I would love to get to meet you the next time your in central Florida. I would be willing to drive wherever you are in this area. Also my sister lives in Marshfield, Ma. I don’t know if you know that area but it’s fun to know I have family in Massachusetts too. :) Anyway Thank you so much again! Also I would love to see a video of how you use a pressure cooker to make a meal. I’m 52 and have never used a pressure cooker. lol.

OMGosh this is so good to know. Wow. Can you tell me how the DC to DC charging wires go into the bluetti? Does it plug into the 12V slot or did he somehow hardwire it? I imagine your freezer takes up the 12v slot so I’m super curious how it wires into the bluetti. ALSO, how does your max air fan wire into your bluetti? I still haven’t gotten my beasty power bank yet but i have all those things and need to find out.

everything is hardwired, even the freezer!! I'm not sure how it all works. I think I will do a video on day and try to explain it!!

Would love to hear how much it cost. I want to get a “dc to dc thingy,”hard wiring for lights and fans, install a large max fan, and plug for shore power. I have no idea who can do it and what a reasonable cost. I’m Florida. Thanks

the price of the dc to dc thingy is posted in the description of this video. also, the maxxair an install is in this video and I think I mentioned the price: kzbin.info/www/bejne/on2WnJuMes6bjqMsi=vANfGXO65j9_EW4- the shore power and lights I'm having installed Monday and I'll do a video on both things and how much it costs.

in my experience, the Bluetti just stops storing once it hits 100%. it does the same with solar.

I did have a wire running from my car battery to my Bluetti. but now the wire goes from my car battery, through a DC to DC charger, and then into my battery. BIG difference!!

Do you think you need the solar with the DC system being so efficient? Just a thought.
@LulusWay64
@LulusWay64 8 ай бұрын
yes, I'll need to solar, for all the times I am stationary for a few days. I can keep topped off. when I start full, I can keep topped off. when I'm always struggling low, it's hard staying so low and always waiting to run out. if it's not sunny, I can run the car for 20 minutes and I'll gather plenty!!
