4 oz. hummus
2 veggie burgers
4 oz. plain tofu
4 oz. tempeh
GRAIN
4 oz. cooked rice, potato, quinoa (or any cooked whole grain)
4 oz. corn or peas or winter squashes
2 oz. oatmeal or oat bran (weighed dry, before preparing with water)
3 rice cakes
FRUIT
1 piece of fruit (apple, orange, banana, peach, etc.)
6 oz. loose or diced fruit (berries, grapes, cantaloupe, watermelon, fruit salad, etc.)
2 oz. dried fruit (raisins, dates, apricots, etc.)

Oh Lulu, I watched you on another video ‘Glorious life on wheels’, I wasn’t really sure it was you at first it was in another van so I assume it was quite a while ago, I kept watching , I can’t believe the difference in you, I don’t know how long ago that was but my goodness even though your hair is silver. Oh you look so much younger and more vital now, you were lovely in the video but you have a sparkle and vitality about you now what an amazing transformation, I’m sure it’s down to your great diet and wonderful lifestyle, what a great inspiration and role model you are. that video was less than 2 years ago. the only two differences today is that at that time I was following a 100% vegan diet and had been for 22 years. and I also did not take any supplements then. I was advised to make those two changes in June of 2022 by a very wise woman!!

Tap dancing...what a phenomenal idea!!! I used to love dancing.....I forgot I've done variations on what you've done food wise including the big salads..... however have always self sabotaged one way or another .... Soon I'm done working and can create space for change....I'm going to try and care for myself again.....starting with a scale and doing what I say I'm going to do! I cannot believe that you have honest to goodness real Tupperware! My mom sold Tupperware when I was a kid and she had everything in her kit! My fourth comment today! As a new subscriber I’m working my way through your vlogs and haven’t found one that tells what my portions should be to lose weight; I know you’re maintaining your weight and eat larger portions. Where do I find how many ounces of each food group. Previously I had success in weighing my food but stopped, gave away my scale, and gradually gained weight. 😮 Funny how I abandoned what worked (not really funny-kinda stupid). My new food scale was delivered yesterday (the one you recommend) and I’m going grocery shopping today. You have truly inspired me! Four years ago I was down 60 pounds. I gained 30 back. Thank you, for what I need to get rid of the 30 pounds that have been making me 🥜 nuts!

I read if you put black pepper on avocado, it brings out more of its nutrients. Love the salad dressings, I make it the same, olive oil, apple cider vinegar with mustard and spices...yum!!

I had a hard time letting go of my rich salad dressing such as blue-cheese. I didn’t want salad without it. But over time I made up recipes that I really like. One of my favorite ingredients is the brine from jars of peppers or pickles.

I'm happy you discovered my channel and are enjoying it!! yes, peas and corn are veggies here in USA too, but they are starchy veggies, like winter squashes. best that you use them like grains because of the carbs. and yes, the full fat version of the dairy are just fine. I would say if you're weight loss efforts were stalled, you may want to switch to lower fat. but always watch you ingredients labels on EVERYTHING for sugar. they sneak it in things you would least likely suspect. ENJOY!!

hey girl!!! no these are my old glasses. my black glasses are in the shop, getting new prescription put in (my left eyesight has gone downhill, that was my problem!!). I'm also getting a second pair, black round glasses, George Burns, just need a cigar!! miss you too!! 😊

that floor I am using I made myself. it's just a 1/2" plywood, 2'x4', and covered with peel and stick vinyl tiles from Lowes!!

if you are looking for an instructor, Rod Howell is so wonderful!! UnitedTaps.com. I am not affiliated with him professionally, I just like the dude!! I would prefer the dance floor a bit bigger and that's on my list of things to do!! I prefer 4' x 6'. Rod suggests getting a pool noodle and slicing 1" pieces so you have a bunch of circles and to glue them under the wood tap floor every square foot. that's what I will do soon, also on my list of things to do!! I think you get a little give to the floor as well as better sound from the shoes!!

@@LulusWay64 What great tips! I found a few videos by Rod Howell. He seems to be a great instructor and teaches in an easy way to follow. I like the idea of putting bumpers under the floor. I'll be using it on a carpeted floor, and this sounds like a good solution. I really appreciate your tips and tricks!

Hi Lady 😊 Even though I mostly eat well, I really have no idea how much I actually eat. So I finally broke down and bought a scale....now, I just gotta figure out how to use it. 🙄😆... I may need to watch a video on this specific brand---I'm so electronically challenged. 😁

It does. I tried pushing it to zero it out without anything on it and it starts counting with nothing on it. 😳 Then when I put the empty bowl on it it adds it's weight and so I don't know how to get it back to true 0.

put the bowl on it and then turn it on. if you turn it on before you put the bowl on, just put put the bowl on it and then hit the Tare button to zero it out. add let's say 16 oz. veggies, then zero it out again by hitting Tare. then add 4 oz. chicken, Tare to zero, add 4 oz. rice, then Tare to zero, add half ounce oil, then you are DONE!! does that make sense?

Oh, my gosh! That's seems like an awful lot of food for 16 oz. I love your persistence with the tap dancing. I'll keep watching to see when you feel more proficient. I think you're great now! I also use olive oil, Bragg's apple cider vinegar, and fresh lemon juice for my homemade salads. I never thought of adding spicy mustard, or minced garlic. And, then you added more to the bowl! I think I could only eat a third to a half of it at a sitting. Is it better to try eating it all at once instead of saving it to the next meal?

hi April!! I enjoy eating three times a day and never eat in between. so my meals need to be hearty to sustain me and so that my weight doesn't drop too low. I have a good appetite and never have trouble eating the volume that I do!! 😊

Hey Lulu, loved this video. Is there a reason why you didn't weigh the apple cider vinegar, the lemon and the mustard? You weigh everything so was surprised that you didn't weigh those and wondered if there was a specific reason why they don't need to be weighed.

yes!! I've always loved to dance. But no formal lessons or performances, only when I was very young. I just have fun with it!!! I've always the one who dances for hours at a wedding or anywhere with live music!! 😊

Lulu, if I may ask, where do mushrooms fit in on this plan? Also, what weight are you trying to maintain, I’m fat but not too tall, I can’t seem to eat all this food. After breakfast I’m not hungry by early afternoon, but about 2 I can eat lunch but no way a whole 3rd meal after that. Thank you! I made the veg stew, delish, just like grandma used to make.

I don't follow anybody. I follow the food plan that is in the description box of this video, scroll past the amazon links and you will see it. it's just basic, balanced, and properly proportioned whole foods. and for my supplementation, I have been advised by a "very wise woman", you can see my video on my supplement regiment where I tell the story of that.

I cannot believe how big your salads are! I know you have said that they are large, with the measured amounts because, you eat 3 meals a day, only but, I can't help wondering if this makes you go to the toilet more than normal. With Crohn's, I would be on the commode 24/7...lol! Also, isn't it amazing that the largest animals eat vegetarian and yet, human vegetarians are small in comparison to their meat-eating counterparts. Also, half an ounce of oil, looks like a lot. I don't mean to come across critical because, I respect your determination to maintain your weight and, the amount of research you have done, to suit you. All those supplements, are time-consuming and, has research been done on their long term use. I ask these questions openly because, if I were sitting with you, I would be curious. hello Heather!! I have 100% normal healthy elimination, once each day, painless and easy breezy!! this food plan serves me well!!! I was advised by someone I trust to use the supplements that I take. I feel like a million bucks and I 'm not concerned about taking them at all.

I think a lot about positivity/negativity, self-fulling prophecy, faith and prayer. Can my positive thoughts and prayers truly change the outcomes of life? They do make me feel better while in the storm but don't know if they effect the outcome. I am glad you are feeling better, I felt angry when you were ill. Not sure why. My partner has an illness the he refuses to get diagnosed ...it was found after he had a scan because of a stroke. It has been months. I am going nutty. Take care!
