Claire’s solo was absolutely phenomenal! There is nothing more exciting than an energetic solo that keeps surprising you from start to finish. Absolutely incredible dancer!

I was so excited when they kept playing Dynamite for all the dance scenes! And I have to say this...Claire will be point one day. She is definitely a future leader. She's by far one of the most talented girls I think I've ever seen on this team and show. Just WOW. She amazed me last season as a rookie, and she only seems to show consistent greatness.

Danielle got it too, kind of. When she was injured during auditions, the judges initially voted against her, but Kelly and Charlotte decided to invite her anyway. It is not the exact same scenario, but the bottom line is, she was invited even though she wasn't good enough

@@ellingtonfeint13 Danielle and Cassie are different. Kelly and Charlotte made that decision on the whim at the last minute. Danielle was cut based off the judges and they gave her no leeway. The judges did not treat Cassie the way they treated Danielle. She was never cut off the team in the first place. They said no doubt she is a DCC and had a bad day. The only judge willing to cut her was Jay and gave the argument would we do this another girl if their mom was not Judy.

I get where you're coming from but it's been nearly 10 years since Cassie retired I think in those 10 years they have gotten stricter. Of course there is some nepotism but in most industries there is unfortunately.

@@SylviaMarie30 I'm just saying that Kelly in particular is willing to bend the rules, when she is emotionally invested. It is not just nepotism and I think she got softer. I recently watched the series beginning from season 3 and I noticed that she has been more hesitant or avoidant, when it comes to cuts. Off the top of my head there was: 1. Cassie got special treatment for her injury. 2. The same for Danielle. 3. The season before last, they had a larger squad, bc they wouldn't cut Meredith or Lily. 4. Kyra got cut for being late, Kristen and Dayton didn't (I don't know, if Kyra was only once late like the other two.) 5. Amy had an almost costume malfunction during her solo and got marked down for it. Holly had a full-on costume malfunction and the judges reacted compassionate. 6. Yuko was allowed to miss practice to get her visa. Jinelle too? I don't remember. 7. McKenzie had low kicks and she still made the team, because she was unproblematic in all the other areas. She worked hard on the kicks though. It is not only nepotism, special treatment can be based on sympathy. A family connection or being a legacy is not a wild card. Dayton never made it. Madeline got cut, there was a another legacy, whose name I don't remember who got cut and Victoria didn't make it on her first attempt. They do make the nepotism girls work.

A girl's work ethic, reliability, motivation, positivity, enthusiasm, public speaking skills, teamwork, stability, stamina etc will all be considered. I used to be a choreographer and if a dancer had an injury which prevented her from doing her best in an audition but had been very reliable and dedicated in the past, I'd keep her because I knew for sure it was a just bad day, rather then a pattern of behaviour.

They had a lot of injuries this year. I believe that Maddie retired b/c of an injury. Lisa had a serious neck injury and Daphne. This is hard core dance and it is hard on the body after so many years. That's why they require a high level of physical fitness from the ladies. Maddie is a gem. I commented on her Instagram that she was an honor to watch all these years and she responded. Just a class act.

- Kats solo looked fun imo - KaShara is still part of the staff, I think she answered a question on her stories that she part of the event coordinators. - Victoria retired last minute due personal reasons but is planning to audition again in 2022. I think Maddy hurt herself bad in season 14 or 15 and her body never fully recovered from that, and she kept going. So now she was at a point where her body couldn’t handle what she was accustomed to.

I suppose I'm the oddball... I was never overly impressed by Maddie. I don't have anything against her, and Lord knows it takes a lot of talent to be a DCC, but I am not awestruck with her the way so many other fans of the show are. Its obvious the producers monitor fans comments on social media - and that's why they've featured her on the show (both past seasons and this...) But for me, her leaving isn't a big deal. Glad she got her moment in the spotlight, that's a high honor. But there are just as many other beautiful - and beautifully talented - members of the team.
