Blaise E A hand-to-hand is a sextuplet based rhythm that is commonly split between two drums (played at 1:12-1:13 between bass 1 and 2). It is different from a single sextuplet split where the individual parts are played on one hand as each player plays triplets in the natural sticking offset by the “e” spacing between the two. When written out, the notation will read “RRLLRR” and this natural sticking of the individual part is what gives it the hand-to-hand name and sound
