Tell me about it, I've been buying modules like crazy lately. Thankfully, DCS has some great sales around the holidays. But now, I will be upgrading my PC, starting with a video card. I will be purchasing an Oculus Rift and, since choppers are my first love, a rather expensive cyclic, collective and pedals setup. :-)

Hi Matt, I'm Flying the red flag campaign with f5. But I still don't understand a thing. Tacan are positioneted only on airport I think. But when i go out of the "red corridor" my controller tell me to stay inside and usually gives me an information "LSV" (normally 300). What is LSV and how it works? It doesn't looks to be an azimuth. So How to use it for navigation?

I dont get it why they always dont wanna talk about the F-18... even on this video. I of course understand here its about the F-5, but again, teasing the Hornet again by saying: "I'm not gonna comment on that, or that" @ 7:15 is a bit conserning and suspicious again more and make us worried even more. I just dont get it ... Even though, many thx for this video... We love those kind of detailed update and looking foward on dev for VR advancement on many other tools available.

maybe, in a way, we were condition for it by what happened over the years... remember nevada... ... ... But you have a point there Chrinik. There is after all nothing bad in the message under what everybody is wishing, hoping, etc... we only want that jet since the beginning, and of course it doesnt help since the Hornet is a favorite airplane for many flying DCS from 2010 and before ! So excuse us all for loving it, a bit too much. :)

Agreed, although for people who have not experienced DCS and VR it probably seems like a waste of time, we need to spread the word about how good it really is, and cheaper than the triple monitor setup I used to have !

I love the old cold war warriors! F-5E was such an important plane, as it really was the first "simple", yet capable jet that wasn't that expensive. I do hope I get to one day fly also something like the A-5 Vigilante and F-4 Phantom II, preferably the G-model (really do love the weasels!). Anyway, thanks for the video!

although id say Matts statement about only more modern aircraft having autopilot seems like a sort of generalization, since the Mig21Bis in DCS has autopilot ( Soon to be MP/ SP competitor of the F5) and even older second generation aircraft like the F100D Super Sabre designed before mach 2.0 fighters , and in a time when Day fighters ( no radar or RWR) were still dominant, features Autopilot functions. the real reason F5E didnt get it is because its intended to be a "El Cheapo" export option for lesser developed nations, who need an aircraft just good enough to counter their regional neighbors operating Mig21's supplied by Eastern Bloc countries. although all things considered im guessing some of the E3 block upgrades such as the Radar, especially the RWR very likely added quite a bit of extra cost to the aircraft since those 2 systems are more sophisticated than that of the Mig21BIS

Hi Matt, thanks for your time. its awesome. Just a tip? Because your talking and recording, it is a bit disturbing for the watchers to see too much of movement on screen. I would suggest to push F9 for track IR to be disabled while flying straight ahead and freeses the view. You know? when you get the orange light on receiver? so it does not move anymore while speaking. I always use this function on finals. That helps a lot. Cheers

I noticed when you loaded the mission and entered the cockpit, the view doesn't zoom out like it does on my pc. On mission start the view zooms out a bit and then I have to press numpad enter to reset the view to default zoom. It does this for all aircraft on mission start after pressing "fly". How can you disable this annoying zoom? Thank you

Hi Matt. A few questions... Can you add this control profile that you are showcasing in the package? Is there a dropdown somewhere that you can select different control profiles, or do you need to browse in your computer to find the relevant file and load it up? And can these control profiles (and other configurations in options menu) load up automatically as you select different player profiles from Logbook? Thanks :)

I think it's better to use rocket hive in place of that 2 fuel tank under wing, it will looks much more powerful. However it's another type of cover art...

I don't know about the F-5 in particular but normally you wouldn't turn the generators on until after you started the engines. The startup could cause a power surge and cause damage the electrical system.

Been playing DCS with Rift CV1 and the work you guys have done so far is fantastic. There are a few issues like centring seems to go off sometimes, but on the whole it's a brilliant experience.
