Hi 👍🏻🇫🇷 I just saw your video and thank you very much for your explanations of your #Rhino set up with VPForce software, I have noted all your settings. Above all, I didn't know that in dcs we could change the #Rool and pitch in the #FFB of #Rhino. I noted your settings at 280/190 and I will test this in my #Rhino. Thank you so much for all ,for communauty #Rhino 👍🏻🇫🇷👍🏻 Aplushhss /Laurent 🇫🇷

Ref the stick moving forward on braking, I’ve actually reversed that option in the rhino software. My thinking is when you brake, the nose tips forward and your body would actually move towards the stick, rather than the stick moving away from you. I prefer that, and for your setup, with the seat tilting forward with braking and the stick coming towards you, might feel even more immersive.

Well I told you you'd love it LOL. I'm now 201 in the list to get the Rhino. Slowly but surely getting down the list. Can you tell us the settings in the VP Rhino software that increase the feedback force above the 100% mark? Maybe you are going to put that in the next video. Would be good to see how you get the best out of the Rhino's feel through it's software, your previous videos do a great job on showing us what yo have picked up from advice from other users and the software develpoers of the Rhino.
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs2 ай бұрын
Mate you were 100% correct when you told me I would love it, such an amazing airframe in DCS. I cant wait for you to get the Rhino, its going to blow your mind how immersive the F4 feels. Ok, regarding the settings, most of this is covered in the software & setup section of the video 3:13 The amazing thing is there is actually not a massive amount you need to tune for the dynamics of the F4, the reason being DCS has native force feedback unlike FS2020. What that means is the Rhino is able to work correctly without to much tuning, most of the settings I have tweaked are focused on engine rumble, cannon fire, road rumble and those sort of additional effects which are very subjective. The most important settings you might want to adjust, as advised to me from one of the crew on the VPforce Discord, was in the 'Special' tab in DCS, I show this section at 8:02 in the software setup. In there you can actually adjust the percentage of FFB for both 'Roll' & 'Pitch' axis, very important I feel as without this you are simply not getting the correct feedback force the Rhino is able to produce, plus the airframe felt very slippery. The default in that section is 100% for both, these can be adjusted all the way up to 500%. Let me know if you get stuck or have any other questions :)

@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs2 ай бұрын
Whoop, Whoop, hahah yea mate awesome. Thank you for watching and your amazing comments. Such and epic game, mind blowing. Ok, sound card is only the one on the motherboard. Having said that though you have in my case 7.1 so the use of all of those channels if you wanted. I am only running two Buttkickers, one under my seat and one under my pedal deck, I could run two separate channels to them however, I honestly didn't notice that much of a difference so for simplicity, they share the one audio out channel on the back of the MOBO. I do run two amps though, I am using the Fosi Audio MO3 amps, this way I can adjust the volume independently :). My actual game audio if coming through my Arctis Nova Pro headphones that use a USB connection. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions :)

Hi 👍🏻🇫🇷 Another question! I myself have a Pimax vr headset that does not have cameras for Mixed Reality. With your Meta Quest 3 helmet you can't use these cameras to go from games to real reality to see your jewellery and airplane controllers? And last question, with the Quest 3 the resolution of the headphones is good enough to see all the pressure gauges of an F4 Phantom? Bye .👋 Aplushhss /Laurent 🇫🇷
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs2 ай бұрын
Great questions. No unfortunately With the Pimax you are not able to pass through the real world to the headset, it's actually a brilliant feature of the Quest 3. Regarding image clarity with the Quest 3 seeing the gauges, it's very clear. I'm running an RTX4090, Wi-Fi 6 access point with Virtual Desktop. All settings are mixed out, 10bit codec, 200mbit streaming. DCS PPD 1.0, Steam Super Sampling at 100%. Image is very sharp, without artefacts and stutter free. I do have some news though that you are hearing first. Pimax are sending me the new Crystal Light to test and review, should be here this week. Video coming soon 😁

During taxi the Forcefeedback stick is shown to be absolutely slack with no positional stick at all. This is not how the real stick was. Even at taxi, you had a drag on roll and pitch stick deflection. With increasing airspeed, you were constantly recenter the bird by trim. To make it short: the force feedback has to include the steering state of the flight actuators, not just air speed.

@MilkePan In Australian slang, 'dropkick' is a derogatory term used to describe someone who is considered foolish, incompetent, or generally unpleasant. It conveys the idea of someone being "dropped" or dismissed as being worthless or useless. I absolutely 💯 agree with the first point. Incompetent, well flying the F4 I would partially have to agree 🤣 Thinking im unpleasant, worthless and useless............ Muskets at dawn.
@fastfed2 ай бұрын
Dude why don't people just use the catriges!! After all this is a video game after all, no need for power or air. Also that stick is way to short why don't you have an extension on that? Imo while a full motion Sim and vr are game changing, an extension is also a huge game changer. I mean you're literally stretching down to hold the stick. Sit in most jets and helps and you'll notice. Most go almost to your chest level
@LimitlessHorizonVRSimrigs2 ай бұрын
@fastfed power and air, it's all about immersion. I like going through the start-up procedure. As for the stick, it's got an extension, 120mm. There is not a single modern centre stick fighter jet that has the stick almost at your chest 🤣. Watch my other video of my friend, a retired Airforce pilot in the rig. Stick height is almost perfect actually. I have also personally flown in a multi-million dollar PC-21 simulator, stick height was almost identical. Man, you sure had a lot of criticism on a video that's about having a good time in the F4. Please take note of the stick position of an F18 in relation to the pilot forum.dcs.world/topic/117783-f-18-cockpit-geometry/ Thanks for watching, go have a beer 🍺

Yea its a tricky one, showing actual VR view recording always looks janky. I should have run some motion blur over the video to help with that.
