All I can say is WOW! This was a masterpiece on how to tackle the mission editor. I can't thank you enough!!!

Glad it helped mate, the mission editor is intimidating to understand so I’m glad it broke some barriers down for you.

Really appreciate the effort mate. I watched the full 2hrs and can now start creating proper missions instead of the basic, blow up a sam shit I'm used to creating. Might not need to rely on the liberation guys so heavily once this series is complete. Thanks man.

Glad it helped you out mate 👍🏻 once you get your head around things in there it’s not AS intimidating 👌🏻

Love it mate, that’s the idea I was going for. Show you the basics and then you can flesh out the rest of the mission to suit to your tastes in sorties. I’ll be doing a CAP mission too as well as anti-shipping and SEAD 👍🏻

Ooh this is a long one. Time to hit the sack now but will watch later for sure. Always like to see others build missions in preparation of me finally building my own

Yeah she is a long one but hopefully it helps you start getting into the mission editor and making fun missions for you to fly either single player or with mates 👌🏻

Jolly good show! I am trucking along making this mission as I watch. Have watched quite a few mission editor tutorials, but this is the first one that really digs into the workflow of making a interesting mission. Besides, it seems to be a good mission to brush off the cobwebs after a DCS hiatus, or to learn the ropes of new modules.

Glad it helps make sense of something that is quite intimidating mate. I took so long to get into the ME because I had no idea how things worked but if you break it down into simple parts it’s much more manageable 👌🏻

Thanks for putting this together! I loved your old series and it's been the basis for all my training flights to the point Batumi feels like a cozy second home :P Would you consider putting together an updated consolidated training mission that combines all the requisite skills for a Liberation one-man-air-force mission like fighter sweep -> SEAD -> tanking -> carrier landing at some point?
@TorniQuetHD2 жыл бұрын
You mean make essentially a mission with training areas to practice all skills required to be combat proficient in the F/A-18C?
@ColonelAkirNakesh2 жыл бұрын
@@TorniQuetHD I was thinking not just the Hornet, but someone one could use to be proficient in any modernish aircraft ranging from the Viper to the Su25. Still working through this tutorial (kids, man!) and it's helped me get some ideas going, but not sure if it'll work :P

Nice basic tutorial how to create a mission and which steps to take. Gives me more focus on what is important instead of programming all sort of complex scripts like JTAC and Artillery Overwatch, Capture zones and other advanced stuff i want to do in the end. Which is cool, but i don't have mission finished from start to end.

Fantastic! And only with two fingers! I just have to eat this cake in smaller portions but it tastes great, thank you.

I added some Apaches to an invisiFARP in a nearby town and duplicated the CAS Client's tasks to the Apaches. It's pretty hairy as the ZSU-57 range is about the max range of the Hellfire!! Super fun. A-10C support saved my bacon!
@TorniQuetHD2 жыл бұрын
Awesome mate!! How do you make an invisFARP!?!?
@ColonelAkirNakesh2 жыл бұрын
@@TorniQuetHD under statics > heliports, there's an Invisible FARP. You need to place an HEMTT refueler, Heavy 939, and LUV Humvee (or their equivalents for Redfor, and they have WW2 equivalents now) within a certain radius. I haven't used it, but there's also a portable TACAN somewhere (maybe buildings?) That's off the top of my head but let me know if it works!

can you set a hard deck for AI aircraft, i.e dont drop below 15,000 ft? to avoid short range air defences/AAA

Is there a way to make a Progressive Single/Multi Player mission where you capture objectives as the other side is trying to do the same thing until one faction captures all of them? Or is there one to download?

@@TorniQuetHD hope it helped....😂 If it wasnt for some of your videos, I would not be where I'm at right now in dcs! I love the mission editor, its whole nother world on its own without the game!😁 But I fly the f18, now for about 1yr. I've learned so much since then(spent 6 months just trying to set things up, with constant joystick issues(solved))....cant quite land yet, but in BVR(using TWS, RWS, and BFM I pretty good...got it down ,but I love making missions(especially making cap missions), and using triggers and watching how the game plays out....probably my experience with rts games.... But there is huge learning curve but the game is so rewarding..... I dont play any other games right now.... absolutely love this game....thx so much what you do is not easy...making these videos as well as making the missions alone is alot of work(I have spent hundred of hours)!! So for those who never say anything about the hard work, we do appreciate the hard work....thanks again.!

Having to know all the tiny details of every unit and how they interact with the other units is ABSURD to the max. For example setting up an AWACS, SAM or refuel shouldn't be 50 unknown options to tweak to make it happen. There should be a much simpler and more effective way. When you setup a SAM site it should set up the entire SAM site instead of one piece of many that will be required. Scratchpad didn't have all the options in mission editor. The only way I can pull the locale info is in game. The little box at the bottom isnt there when Im in Mission Editor.
@TorniQuetHD2 жыл бұрын
Mission editor is a deep dive for sure, not sure what’s doing with the scratchpad for you 🧐

There is work arounds to get this to work but there is no simple set task so they continue it forever unfortunately. In my CAP mission I’ll have a crack at setting something up that should hopefully do that 👍🏻
