The F-15EX mod was recently updated with an excellent selection of A2A/A2G weapons and a gorgeous MFD. It's no replacement for the full-fidelity stuff you see nowadays, but it's been keeping me quite happy.

Almost none of the f-15EX mod a2g weapon work its a reskinned f-15C .you can download the mfd cockpit mod for the f-15C also

@@HADESPAYLOAD I think from memory RAZBAM was doing the Mig23 but I'm guessing with what's going on, we won't see that for a while. I would loooooove to see in my lifetime an SU-24, with an AI co-pilot. It's seen use in Afghanistan, Caucuses, Syria, Iraq.... It's got a pretty good case. Plus, if ED can get a Mig29A (albeit export version) in the game, there's no reason they couldn't do the same for an SU-24.

I am glad there are updates for SU-25T. It's the first aircraft available, so it's important to make a good first impression on new players. I know about one over 7 years old bug in it. At least it is tracked as reported last two years. :D

In my opinion, this type of remaster is disappointing because it didn't include anything new that the community was hoping for. Features like a refueling probe, Mavericks, or the ability to carry four Sidewinders were not added. It was a remaster of the textures with a few bug fixes that had been around for years (it seems like they were holding onto these fixes). There is no option to keep both versions, and according to what the community managers have already stated, the previous version will no longer be updated.

If not RedFor then add in the EU planes like the UK and French planes. Buc, Lightning, Raf Mirage3. India has tejas and I maybe an outlier but I would be OK with knockoff aircraft to fill missing redfor. Give me a swing wing strike aircraft that does not maneuver well. Just like not needing real world maps, I would rather have 2-3 diverse terrain vs Era level maps that not everyone has.

Almost all the Chinese servers use free aircraft and maps when I was in HK. I do agree that FF aircraft in someways are disadvantaged by the accuracy causing you to need to be better or work harder for a solution.

Thank you for another great video! Always something I look forward to! I've had the F-5 for a few years and I fly it a lot, mainly for training, NAV, Pattern work, Etc. I fly in VR and the cockpit was a huge issue for me, this upgrade resolved it. I don't have a problem with how ED did this as far as paying for it. The updated module itself is still cheaper than the A-10C II, F-4, F-14, F-15, F-16 and the F/A-18, (not including sale price). Just my pov. Thank you again!

I have to say, I'm happy for the F-5E Tiger II update, but at the same time, I'm also disappointed with it, the F-5E was capable of carrying 4 air-to-air missiles in real life, and did depending on its mission, so why they don't make it so we can put 4 air-to-air missiles on it, is beyond me.

@@terraoftime The one we have is the US version used for aggressor squadrons. It's really the wrost model to be "historically accurate" over since they were all over the place in terms of equipment. Edit: Honestly it's so silly that they use this model then drag their feet on features because they want to keep it "accurate". They already take liberties with this but, especially for a game/time period set in the cold war, it would make _so much more sense_ to pick an export model to represent. One of the assholads that served in Europe and are probably sitting in museums right now ready for scanning/study/whatever ED needs to do. And they pretty much all had 4 aims :D They literally picked the worst version to represent.

I don't mind ED putting out a remaster for some money. Tbh I wish they'd put out some lo-fi modules to flesh out gaps in aircraft availability for scenarios, like the F-105, Jaguar, Alpha Jet, and Buccaneer for the Cold War-Desert Storm timeframe.

After flying the Phantom for a while, the Tomcat cockpit has started looking a little dull. I'd like to see ED and Heatblur make the Tomcat cockpit look more realistic like the Phantom. I know the Tomcat is relatively new compared to older modules. but better shadows in the cockpit and being able to bind more switches would be nice. My biggest complaint with DCS is the anti ailiasing, especially in VR, and its a lot better than it used to be but its still bad enough to be distracting sometimes. As far as the F-5 update, like they say, you gotta pay to play, no complaints here!

$10 bucks is pretty modest for an upgrade. While I don't want to get micro-transacted to the point I can't justify the expense any more, I am willing to pay for quality work being done. The MiG-21 could use some love and it would not be a difficult decision to pay for it, given the hundreds of hours of enjoyment I've already gotten out of it.

One thing I think ED really needs to get on top of is the SU25A. I cannot believe they have still not fixed the glaringly obvious untextured piece of geometry that is clipping through the canopy bow, the entire way around. It's unsightly and distracting. I think someone on reddit pointed out it was part of the external model clipping into the cockpit model in-game. Reason being, when the cockpit model is viewed on it's own, the band is not present as it is in-game. I still believe that the original "FC3" modules could use some love. IMHO a barely noticeable texture upgrade doesn't forgive the outdated cockpit modelling and awful canopy animations.They are the entry level, accessible aircraft and beginners should feel "wowed" by them while they cut their teeth. Even as a fairly experienced multiple FF module owner, I enjoy jumping in the "FC3" aircraft just for a bit of a blast without having to think too much. Along that line, I would like to see a comprehensive update of the Caucuses map. Even if they outsourced it and charged an upgrade fee, I would pay it in a flash.

The F5 High fidelity legacy module is not the same as the FC2024 one. The FC2024 is a toned down version, ment for FC users who don't want a high fidelity module (imagine it as a starter option for new users). As for the new remaster, it's a refreshed 3d model and better cockpit textures. If you have the F5 already, bought years ago (the full fidelity one) you actually don't need to go for any of the other, especially not for the FC2024. I hope you understand this ☺️

@@hipgames yey... f5 was dongraded in its systems, maked easier and sell with 2 other moduls that had the same fate. so, for some one that buy the F5E, and after buy the fc2024, he literraly buy a donwgraded copy of his previous model. And now ED is selling a texture update (when they make free texture updates on other modules). If at lease the upgrade would give access to a other version of F5...

Yeah, a DCS 4 or something. I just upgraded my system and I love the 4k experience in DCS, but taking the entire engine as a whole, you do feel the need to say, hey I wonder when we can dream of a new engine? It's always in the back of my mind!
