DCS VR 4K | F-15E Strike Eagle | Burning Skies US | Winging It.. Just the Tip!

I'm back in the Strike Eagle and once again on the Burning Skies US Training Server. I'm loaded up with AMRAAMs and continuing with my practice around air to air combat in the F-15E. This one of my early sessions and I had mentioned in my previous Air to Air practice video that I had a small mishap where I lost the tip of my wing. Here's the video of that session. Enjoy!
Note: I had released this video earlier but when I watched it on KZbin, I realized that there was a zoom issue with a segment due to image stabilization in post-processing. I removed that and fixed the issue. Sorry for the confusion.

Nice video. I'm genuinely interested how VP Rhino feels in F-15E as I'm waiting in queue for mine. Will you be making a video about Rhino, and what effects can be felt with it?

Yes I am definitely planning on it. I got my Rhino about a week before Christmas which was a nice surprise as the queue was sufficiently long that I was anticipating a late spring delivery but then I suddenly was up for delivery as the queue had dropped by well over 100 people (cancelations probably). I wanted to spend some time with the Rhino to get a good sense of how it works in DCS before I sat down to doa video. I REALLY love the Rhino. It's so different from my Virpil CM2 (which was a great base). The Force Feedback program which one uses to set and adjust the various vibrations, tension, etc. just got a new GUI and it has made a huge difference to dialing in the Rhino as I can hop into the Strike Eagle (or whatever aircraft you want to edit) and make changes which get applied on the fly. The old way was editing a config file and changing variables and saving etc. I definitely still need to adjust the force feedback settings in the Strike Eagle though. When I suddenly pull G's I get oscillations due to the pushback pressure on the control surfaces.. so I pull, the stick pushes forward due to the load which lowers the G load, which then results in the force I am pulling back suddenly pulling the stick towards me, and so this repeats and I get the oscillations.. I think this is visible slightly in one of my recent Strike Eagle videos. Another issue is the engine rumble effect on the stick causing the slight stick inputs to the aircraft which interferes with autopilot (also in the Hornet) so I have to set a dead zone and/or dial the rumbling way back. It's also visible in the videos where the pilot's hand is shaking quite a bit.. that's due to the vibrational deflections of the actual stick in the sim. So I am still working on the settings.

@@StrIIker-TV That sounds great, even if you need to dial in the settings. I can't wait to have mine and finally be able to feel the jet. Doesn't the JetPad bother you with its vibrations? Or they blend nicely with Rhino?

@@bazyli23 Actually, the Jetpad vibrations are an absolute must for me now. You can also dial back the vibrations for various things such as engine rumble, AOA buffeting, etc or turn them off completely. I have the engine rumble on with the Jetpad at a lower level for example. I like this better than the stick rumble (I did dial this back and have the stick rumble where I want it). Having the jetpad PLUS the Rhino is a great combination as they compliment each other. Adding the Buttkicker to the mix is the ultimate. You would be amazed at how much the vibrations in the seat add to the experience and I now am very reliant upon the seat vibrations. I use them to determine when my AoA is too high and approaching a stall or at the very least, indicates a low energy state and I need to do something (throttle up or ease off the stick). I feel the weapon releases so I know they have happened etc. The Jetpad is still available but you need to get it from a different person who is selling while Russia is on lockdown from the world. You have to contact them via the contact us link on Andre's website. I am actually going to buy another one to have incase my main one dies (I need it that badly now.. lol).
