For interpreting the transition/hover symbology - the cyclic stick directly moves the acceleration cue (small circle), with a small delay built in. The acceleration cue, in turn, directly moves the velocity line, again with a small delay. For hovering over your bob-up marker, treat the cyclic stick as a mouse stick and the acceleration cue as a mouse cursor, and place the cursor in the target. as long as you keep the acceleration cue in the bob-up target, the helicopter will move towards/remain inside the selected point.

Like most I was heavy handed coming from fixed wing and my "simulator" hover training was my instructor handed me a plate with a rubber ball. After a few hours of balancing that ball on the plate it actually helped me visualize and feel what little movement is needed. Don't set any dead zone. I also iirc set the x&y curves to 70% which feels like a real H-500E to me. Then gradually decrease it as you practice.

Must admit, the Apache has been a struggle flying for me. She does not feel heavy like I would get from using the controls in the KA-50 black shark. A bit of applying too much control get the Ah-64 out of control which oftentimes ends in crash. Your video put a lot of light in those dark areas of flying the aircraft. Thanks a lot for the time and effort.

Attitude hold has 3 functions. Not sure if it works in dcs. But attitude is actually a position hold under 6 kts. A velocity hold up to 40kt. And only an attitude hold greater than 40 kts

What I found is that if u put the rudder on a rotary axis it will stay there and is so much easier to control....u will need almost no trim...because it will trim the rudder with the rotary axis. And u don't need to turn the sensitivity down...wich makes the apache much more agile and you can turn a 180 fromm fullforward flight back into the other direction by pulling back ...full rudder right ..and full forward...but my stick has only one slider....but maybe you can try it and use it

Central Position Trimmer should always be the default setting. I don't know why we always have to change that. It would save so much frustration for trimming, especially for new players that don't know to look in the options. The toe brakes also always need to be inverted it seems with every module, and I don't know why they don't also change that.

Yeah as a newbie I think a bit of curve would make sense as default too as most of us are on regular sticks.
