I have seen this film many times. Each time it is as enjoyable as the first. Great story Great casting. Classic British film before the demise of the industry. Thank you for sharing.

Loved the end 😂😂😂 The loss of sound several tines hardly affected the story, they were only for about 3 or 4 seconds at a time - and you could guess what was happening ... ... Great film 10/10 ✔️

"Strangers on a Train" by Hitchcock (1950) had more than a few similarities to this film. Amusement park locale, the female who worked in a record store, the killer with a mommy fixation, etc. Coincidence?

Hitchcock very definitely borrowed so many elements from this film (1946) for "Strangers on a Train" (1951). Hitchcock filmed "Stage Fright" (1950) a year earlier in London. He probably saw "Wanted for Murder" while he was filming "Stage Fright" and was directly inspired by it.

I realised I had seen this movie before when the "Karen" sister came on the scene, but I will continue watching it because I know it is going to be a good one. I was trying to date this film without seeing it stated. I thought late 30s because of the metal zipper on the secretary's skirt. Metal zippers were done away with for the war effort. You describe 'a seemingly ordinary individual' (singular), and then you refer to him as 'they'(plural) . **Aren't you carrying 'The Pronoun Game' just a little too far? This Politically Correct crap is what drives viewers (plural) away. Do YOU (singular) understand that?
@kathybartlett761Ай бұрын
The use of the word “they” is used typically after an indeterminate antecedent. Example: “Somebody left their umbrella at the office. They need to pick it up before 5:00PM.” The singular “they” has been around for 100s of years a and is an example of how language evolves even when it seems grammatically incorrect. This is completely different, of course, from the use of “they” to describe someone who can’t figure out their sexuality.
@kimberlykasimoff1447Ай бұрын

@@kathybartlett761 @leelarson107 is exactly correct. Your weak 'defense' presupposes that the actor's sex is unknown, as in your example of the umbrella. Stop buying into the woke garbage and you'll start to feel better about yourself!

Although the description is not accurate, I do not see the use of 'woke' pronouns in the description. If you are referring to the word "they", then you'd better learn English before you criticise Mr Karen. They: Meaning (used to refer to a specific or known person previously mentioned, about to be mentioned, or present in the immediate context): My best friend from high school is famous now-too bad we didn’t stay in touch after they moved to California. The victim refused to testify at the trial because they feared for their life.
