@@DirectShift one question, if you don't mind. Have you heard or experienced the battery being drained due to the camera being plugged into the 12v socket and hence being on for recording/surveillance say overnight, etc?

Yes. It will drain the battery 🪫 I never leave it without turning on the 15 minute auto off option

Happy New Year to you and your family!!! Have one more query. For the rear view camera we need to check and attach the view it shows in the dashcam screen? I purchased the Z40 model. The broadcast from the rear view camera in the dashcam screen comes properly only in one direction (outside or inside). E.g. if the camera is attached with lens to the right side, broadcast from the outside is proper and you wish to now rotate the camera to show the inside of the car, the broadcast is upside down. Did you face similar issue or i am doing something incorrect? Thank you in advance

I would like to add a few things. If you connect the dashcam with the proper fuse tape adapter then there is no wire cut. If there is no wire cut then there is no warranty issue. Yes, if someone tries to install it wrongly then the warranty will get void. There are many who forget to remove the dashcam from the 12v adapter and found their battery dead in a few hours or 1-2 days. Additionally, 70MAI and others do provide a proper adapter that detects car battery voltage. If the voltage drops below 12.xV then it disconnects the dashcam to prevent battery drain out. Got 70MAI Pro Plus+ A500S Dual Channel with Hardwire Cable Kit. Never faced any problems yet.

I understand hardwiring doesn't mean cutting of wires, just connecting to ACC and VCC is considered as warranty void by company, that's different thing people do it and never faced any issue with warranty, as they have never faced any electrical issues. Regarding the preventing of low battery prevention, I am still not sure, if it works with the 12V socket connection. So didn't include it in the video. But your information was really helpful. Thanks a lot for your inputs

If Park assist is not required, and you are concerned about battery drain and wires, you can hard wire BATT wire to ACC, which will ensure the camera gets power only when ignition is on.

@@DirectShift yeah, but i have 2 concerns: 1. The mirror Dashcam has the power cable molded to ciggerate lighter socket. 2. I don't want it to look after market and don't want the wires to show off.

No, you need to copy your clip before it gets overwritten. In my case before next 6 hours of recording done. But in case of collision, it automatically saves the clips to a different folder

@DirectShift Great video, thanks for step by step explaination. I bought a 70 mai A500S dual dash cam with hardwire for slavia. I'm going to take delivery on 4th Oct. I asked accessories department manager to install this dashcam, he quoted 3K for installation of both dashcam using hardwire but later said if I get it installed after office hours from his service guy the charges will only be 500 but there won't be any invoice for the same. Also he said there is no warranty issues with hard wire installation. Why do you think there will be issue with warranty? It won't impact any wiring, as it will be plugged to fuse sockets and no wire cuts. Same goes for horn replacement, he said he will charge 500 after office if installed at my home else if installed at their office premises he will charge 1500. What do you think ?

The horn installation charge is ₹500 officially. So no need to install it unofficially. The hardwire thing affects warranty. It’s like this I think. It’s same even with other brands. Even accessories shops charge approx ₹500 for dashcam installation. So you can get it done unofficially. But in case of any warranty issues you won’t have any proof that you had got it done from service center

Good one sir. I placed order yesterday, 1 min video is a bummer but priority was capacitor cam for our humidity. Have you tried putting in sd card higher than 128gb? Could you tell 128gb card covers how many 4k recording hrs(without rear camera)

Thank you for your appreciation :) The front camera creates video files with size 188MB each and rear camera with 45MB. Using both camera, it stores upto 6hours, although I never tried testing with turning off rear camera, it might store more 1-2 hours of recording. And I never tried using memory card with size more than 128GB, as they have mentioned the max support upto 128GB and I need to purchase one for testing and which I can't return in case it won't support

Maine 3 phones se try kiya. Android (Samsung) se mujhe best laga. Ek purani iPhone (6s) bahut kharab experience aur nayi (13) iPhone se thik tha par connectivity ke time thoda jyada time leta hai. Main sach bataun mujhe memory card nikal kar laptop se copy karne mein easy aur jaldi lagta hai
