Older guy here at 55. I have lived the Hotrod life from childhood, invested all my money and time into cars, tools and a shop. My entertainment was watching other car people on KZbin, one night there you are with your whiteboard. I was inspired and got started with my own channel the next day! I am currently paying my dues in the trenches just worrying about good content. If money comes someday it’s going directly back into the hobby. I appreciate the pep talk, I try to give you good advice and wish I was close enough to really be helpful. I consider you a friend and will always owe you a debt of gratitude! Thanks! Shawn

Morning Dan, to cut down wind noise when you are outside try putting a little piece of gorilla tape over the mic opening on your phone. It cuts the wind noise substantially but still allows the mic to pick up tunes, engine noise, talking ect, and it is an easy cost effective way to do it. I've tried wind socks and tape works better when I do live rides on my bikes. Have a great day. ✌

I’m 66, and live near Charlotte NC. I’ve been watching for a while and I’ve commented a few times and you’ve answered. I’ve owned some tri-5s in the past, but the coupe that you built from scratch brought me here and I subscribed. I follow so many KZbinrs that I no longer watch regular TV. Yours is one of my “must see” channels. Guys like you are putting out real “Reality” programming. Also most KZbinrs are sole proprietors which makes it more relatable. Thanks for your time and efforts, I really enjoy your channel. In the past, I’ve posted a video or two and had a few negative comments. I would just say “Thanks for watching.” I have a GoPro 5 and a ‘79 El Camino that I’m going to do a restomod and document it for KZbin. I’m not looking for revenue bucks, like you I just want to document the build. I’ve watched both videos you’ve done about being a KZbinr, thanks for sharing the “real story”.

We’re remembering how we did the exact same thing at your age- only without a camera!! For example: I’m almost 70 years old and now have physical handicaps as well as being older. I can no longer do what you can do- I can in my mind, but not in the body! I enjoy watching you work on the very cars that were “under my own wrench” if you get my meaning! You’re simply repeating what a lot of us did in our youth, therefore that’s the attraction!!! Keep em rolling on!

Dan, Thanks for sharing your experiences and telling it like it really is. I started watching at the beginning of the 57 two door conversion and look forward to seeing your next video's. Your videos show how you can work out a home garage, no fancy shop, no fancy tools, just what you have around. Anybody that has the funds can have a $100K + car built at a fancy shop, but you've shown your subscribers how to do it themselves in there own home garage and be proud of their accomplishments and you should be proud as well. Dan this video was really good , you put things out there that people like myself appreciate. Nobody is perfect and you always say you don't know anything, but I was always told that the person who said that they know everything really knows nothing. My whole life has been about old cars and trucks, so I know what you mean and you are sincere in what you say. Yes life gets in the way of things and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Projects get put on the back burner so you can keep the rest of your life moving on. I have been turning a wrench since I was 10, so 50 years later I'm still doing it and not stopping . I'm not rich and never will be ,but I'm happy to do what I do .
