Parting Out My Running, Driving 55 Chevy Nomad. You're NOT Going To Like This Video.

WAIT! Before you start furiously typing your comment know it's going to a good cause! We're on a bit of a time crunch here to get the 55 Chevy on the road before summer ends and I wanna drive the wheels off it! The Nomad has been great this summer, but with the the grey car ready for the road I know I won't be driving the Nomad as much- so we steal the parts we ORIGINALLY stole from the 55 Chevy and return them to their rightful owner! So really, I did the right thing here.

Turn up the idle on that engine. That solid cam is going to spit out a lobe dying all the time. Check your ground on the front wiring. Voltage bleed over can often be a weak ground.

Dan cut some lenses for your housing from a plastic milk jug, drill a few hokes for the screws, lil silicone around the edge and should work till you can find some real ones

Dedicated ground for that fiberglass front-end lighting. Otherwise, it will ground through the bulbs. Hard-working man. ✌️

I am sure in 1955 you only needed those 2 tools to take column down but its been "DD Hackchopped" back together and past Dan was probably giggling at future Dan when it was put back together. Good stuff

the trouble with the instrument panel lights, is the instrument panel is not grounded . i ran into this myself, one time. you can to the dash to the instrument panel. good luck, mike.

Dan, they make retro led headlights now. I like to think they would be better looking at least than a gommy ol light bar. Yes they work, but if going for that period correct vibe id save for a set if possible. Not telling you how to do your own hot rod, just sharing knowledge trying to help bub. Love the channel.
