I learned a lot about the differences between painting with ink vs watercolor. Good to know that you can draw over ink without reactivating it. Thank you!

You do a great job with whatever medium you use Teoh. I so enjoy the fact that you are always experimenting . Thanks so much for sharing.

Not bad for a "mess!" Very vibrant colors. It was fun watching you work with something you don't normally use! Great ! Thank you!❤

Teoh, your work continues to amaze me. Your lines and strokes are just so confident and expressive. The coat and pants on the man came out wonderful imo

it's so cool how they don't look black but instead super bright when in large concentrations :P

This was a fascinating exercise, Teoh. Regarding the intensity of the inks, perhaps it makes sense to experiment diluting the inks with water in the capsules.

What very much interested me about these inks is that they appear to be very capable of mixing both warm and cool versions of secondary colors. It's rare to find a set of primary colors that can do that. Usually it's good at one or the other. Rarely both.

This is very illuminating for me, thank you! I have both sets of Dr Ph Martin Bombay inks and watching how you mixed and controlled your inks was very helpful, as always, Teoh. ☺️

Thx for this insightful video. As I have the de Atrementis ink samples already, thx to your video I now have a way better start!

This was really fun to watch. Mixing looked more challenging than I would have expected. I think I will not try this but I wonder if I thinned the ink first if it would be easier to mix with....

The process is a bit different from usual watercolor. It's easier to make the inks dirty here.

Teoh, These are fountain pen inks. You can mix custom colors for line drawing and put them in your pens. I know you love drawing with black line but you could mix some beautiful browns and blue greys for line drawing.

Looks beautiful colored. 😊 Fun idea to paint with fountain pen inks. 👍

Really nice picture and very interesting seeing you work with ink and get something decent out of it. I want to like ink. I have a great set of Inktense sticks that are really convenient. But...everything I do with them turns out incredibly flat and disappointing and so I go back to my watercolours

Interesting how quickly it dries and the paper drinks up the ink!

Not bad for a very limited palette! You can make a decent drawing very economically because you don't have to buy a lot of colors

I love watching you paint 🙂

Even if the result is successful, I find that your paper reacts strangely with this ink. The paper drinks the liquid ink extremely quickly and it is better to make its correct mixture before applying it otherwise the mixture cannot be done on paper. Nice experience ! 👍🏻

I'd like to try diluted transparent CMYK inks without mixing and layer them to get a sort of screen printed effect. Have you seen Suhita Shirodkar's video of the persimmon? Fascinating!

if you put these in an aqua brush (that can handle ink) I bet that would be great for quick coloring!

Enjoyable video as always; How did you get the extra ink that you poured back into the vials..? I truly enjoy your whimsical approach to drawing and painting. Thank you .
@teohyc5 жыл бұрын
You can use an eyedropper or a blunt needle and syringe. But it's important not to put the ink back if they are contaminated with other colours.
@mauromello7725 жыл бұрын
Very nice video. Thaks Teoh. What about the brush? Did you use one of your watercolor brushes? Was it easy to clean it to use with watercolor again, or has it become sort of permanently tainted and tainting when re-wet? Thaks for your feedback 👍
