The first plane that took off, you could really see the spiral of (I assume) condensation coming off the prop blades. That was cool. 😎

I'm glad you caught that, the condensation spiral is a cool sight 😎, it's called propeller tip vortices. The sudden drop in air pressure causes the air to cool rapidly. If the air is humid enough, this cooling can cause water vapour in the air to condense into tiny droplets, forming a visible vortex around each propeller tip. Thanks for your always kind words, engaging comments and support, I am truly grateful. Best....Corrie

Harbour Air should have an option that if there is dense fog at the destination, they fly you there but instead of landing, you jump out with a parachute. Those twins are designed for it! I think it would be great 😆 ... ... but, upon reflection it might not be such a great business model, and may violate some silly air restriction codes. 🤪

I'd jump for sure! I can't imagine it would violate any silly air restriction codes.Thanks for the chuckle, it made my day. I am truly grateful for your always kind words, fun engagement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie

'AJ didn't appear to have anyone other than the pilot on board. Can you travel Harbour Air from Victoria to Nanaimo or do you have to drive? Turned into a nice day once the sun was up. Better that we're having, 12:50 in the afternoon and we are still fog bound.

Ian, AJ was definitely empty, I saw that too. Unfortunately you can't fly with Harbour Air, Victoria to Nanaimo. I'm in a group to get rail back on Vancouver Island, maybe someday we can take a train Victoria to Nanaimo. We've had a bit of rain lately, but all things considered for the time of year, we've been very fortunate. Ian, I am truly grateful for your always kind words, knowledgeable engagement and support, sincere thanks. Best...Corrie

@@leftcoastcorrie I'm not positive, but I think you can hire a charter flight from Victoria to Nanaimo. And oddly, I think you could take a scheduled flight from Victoria to Vancouver, then another scheduled flight from Vancouver to Nanaimo. But, nothing direct.

I'm almost positive you are correct with your flight summary. Couldn't have said it better myself, thank you. Best....Corrie

I'm wondering why King 5 Evening News flies so often out of Victoria. Do they use it as a refueling station before heading back to the US?
@leftcoastcorrieКүн бұрын
I'm not sure why The Evening Otter flies here so often. I doubt they are refuelled here, but I don't know for sure, the cost would be a lot more that in Washington State. I'm always happy to see Magee II, I love her livery. I spent all afternoon at the harbour trying out my new equipment. I feel like a rookie all over again....lol. I am truly grateful for your always kind words, knowledgeable engagement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie
