The only thing is that deinfluencing is about not recommending something else. It’s about not buying anything. Make influencers create again! Basically rather than post videos focused on getting people to buy products, hone creativity with what you have! Focus on techniques and different looks. Morgan, start a deinfluencing series that has you go back in time to some stand by makeup and share your creative looks! ❤

Yes! Very well said 👏🏾💯🎯 they really need to stop with this “De-Influencing” trend. It’s hypocritical especially if you’re still encouraging ppl to buy something. If you’re gonna “De-Influence” that means “Product Recommendations” are a No No! Basically use what you have or buy when you need replenishments. Many received that Revlon powder foundation in PR. They might have been ads and I don’t trust Tik Tok. The Mikayla situation showed me a lot. The way many felt it was fine to lie, especially if your given $200K. It’s only makeup, apparently.
@pinkbubblesnake Жыл бұрын
Yup, tik tok is having the whole thing youtube had way back when. A good way to spot if something is sponsored is the way someone speaks about something. Usually when paid to do a video, brands will brief an influencer on specific things to mention, Usually when introducing it. I've also heard Robert Welsh mention that he's had offers of sponsorship (that he refused) where they ask them to call a product viral, even if it's something that hasn't yet launched.

@becm963 Жыл бұрын
@@kristamarie02 I wouldn’t think it is that much honestly. Another creator made a Tik Tok defending the ad and used that $200K sum. The premise was if you were given a big ole pile of cash to say “whatever” about a product, you would do it. The issue I have is I could watch a damn commercial for that crap.

Also agree that Viseart is KING when it comes to eyeshadows, especially mattes! I have all of their pro palettes. I’m a huge fan of melt cosmetics original eyeshadow stacks - especially the dark matter and rust stacks too. I’ve only tried their original Gemini palette in comparison to their stacks, so I can’t speak for their eyeshadow formula now, but back in the day their mattes were INSANELY awesome and shimmers were so creamy! All matte palettes are my go to and I have had my eye on the makeup by Mario palette, but I’ll stick with my Viseart warm and neutral matte palettes after watching this.

I'm a big fan of the danessa myricks balm but in the translucent shade using it as a primer. I was an old school benefit dr feelgood balm lover but it was discontinued!! If your looking for an equivalent which is slightly more mattifying go for danessa. I have a oily t zone which is also dry and it saves the day every time and foundation goes smoothly over the top of it. However I do also agree on the negative reviews on this product as I wouldn't' t use it as a foundation and put it all over my face. This product definitely has a identity crisis and the little spoon doesn't help as it gives you the impression that you should scoop a chunk out which gives you to much product. Less is more and use it as a base and not as a foundation.

I'm glad you mentioned the ELF glowy blushes not performing well - I was on the fence about purchasing one because I love the original putty blush, but I'll pass...I don't prefer a glowy blush (like Hourglass) anyway...I find I get more glow than color, which doesn't look good on me, or do anything for my over-40 skin! I think TF putting the word "blurring" about their blush, is a farse. Unless there are some powdery blurring ingredients, I have a hard time believing that. And I agree that the popular Cool-toned Pink Blush isn't for everyone...you are a more warm-toned skin tone, so that shade really wouldn't work for you...just like orange/coral-y toned blushes don't look good on my cool-toned complexion.

Yep! As someone with skin nearly identical to yours and who lives in a climate nearly identical to yours, I agree wholeheartedly with the preference for a natural or soft matte finish. 99% of the time, I cannot stand the dewy, luminous, radiant, etc. finish foundations or base products. They look horrible on my skin. I also tried, I really did, to love the Armani luminous silk foundation, but no matter what skin prep I did or didn’t do, the types of products I used with it, the method of application, etc. it always looked awful on my skin and wore horribly on me throughout the day. My holy grails are no longer made, of course. The original Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer was everything…literally everything! I’ve yet to find a dupe for it. I love to mix it with the chancel CC cream for more coverage, but chanel reformulated that too and now they don’t mix well together. Mac used to have a pressed powder that was legitimately flawless, and then they discontinued it. Everyone swore that the CT pressed powder was a dupe for it and still raves around her pressed powder - her powder looks terrible on me too. Milk had their blur + set (I think that’s what it was called?) that was amazing…discontinued of course, and I’ve yet to find a dupe. NYX mega shine lip gloss in smokey look - the most perfect lip gloss formula and color OF ALL TIME! Discontinued and have not found a dupe for it in five years of searching. My favorite foundations were the Givenchy Teint couture and the photo Filt’r from back when they were in the short rectangular glass bottles. Those were discontinued close to a decade ago and I still can’t find anything that looks good on my skin like they did AND that feels comfortable.

For those that are criticizing this de-influencing trend...the name is a bit of a contradiction because they're still influencing you, but in the opposite direction. I would RATHER Morgan say "I don't like this, but a similar product that is better is _____" because then I know that if I'm looking for something good in that category, it's there, but maybe I'll buy a cheaper and/or better quality product instead of the highly recommended ones on the internet. It's always your choice to buy makeup or not. If and when I choose to buy makeup, I like to know people's thoughts on it first instead of going in blind and then discovering something is crap. Morgan is a full time makeup reviewer. It's literally her job to tell people if products are good or bad. You may be watching the wrong channel if you don't want product recommendations and that's ok!

Which Viseart Palette are you saying to try in place of the Master Mattes Morgan?

I don’t like nyx or elf. I def can’t use them cuz of my eczema and I have to spend more $, & time researching products & trying them. Not getting paid for it tho. I should start making vids. I should of listened to my fam n friends years ago about makeup but I was being lke “no” cause it wasn’t my idea 😂

Hi Morgan, I was wondering if you could make a video duping the Mario Master Matte with any Viseart Matte eyeshadow shades you own from the Slim Pro collection. I don’t have Mario Master Mattes but I own every Viseart Slim pro. I think it would be a very interesting video to see, especially as you mentioned that Viseart eyeshadow are better quality !Thanks for considering my request 💕 sorry for sending this message at two different video 😉

Miss ma’am I hate to tell you but the beautiful skin foundation on my dry mature (31 year old skin) skin looks beautiful. It must be a you thing. I don’t have texture at all but I am dry and it looks so good. Maybe if you used the correct amount it would look so much better.

I so agree about the beautiful skin foundation as it made my skin look horrible! I have oily combo skin , I had bought that foundation and I just could not use it so I actually had to throw it away!

Viseart is definitely better quality. I own some of their palettes and a couple Mario palettes. And while I enjoy both, I do prefer the Viseart formula. I’m glad to hear Viseart is starting to hv more affordable options cause $80 is a lot. 19:17

What works for your brows? I’m having trouble finding something that holds my unruly brows.

I was thinking the exact same thing about gripping primers! like, do they really help with foundation lasting longer?? according to whom??? the brand? ofc they’re gonna say that so you buy it lol

I love that foundation, but I think I only use half a pump?... a pump is almost too much. But I have oily skin, so I have to believe it's different strokes for different folks.

can you do a video comparing the viseart and makeup by mario neutral palettes? 🙂

I love you girl but I'm 40 with dry skin and I don't have texture, large pores or dry patches and the Beautiful skin foundation makes my skin look amazing. I have a lot of foundations that I don't touch anymore. I think when it comes to foundation it is really personal.
