Another foolish commentary. I own most of the mag seven (minus tesla) - to sell for sake of taking profits makes no sense in my opinion. There are huge tax ramifications, especially if you’re selling a large portion. Next, where are you putting that money? If you need the money to live, or for expenses that’s a different story. But from a growth perspective, there is zero reason to believe the mag seven will under perform. Most people don’t realize that as the market goes, they go. All of these companies are in many mutual funds and etfs. If the SP is up again, it’s almost guaranteed that these will be as well. I’m a much bigger advocate of either using a stop loss, or even better covered calls. They provide income and protect against downside risk.

I guess my question is what isn't this guy saying. It sounds as though this guy is forecasting a recessional environment. While I believe that the market is overdue for a pullback, historically, it is better to just dollar cost average into the best companies within their respective industries. That means, continuing to invest in the Mag Seven stocks.
