The Lowalnds festival of 2019 had about 60,000 attendees. This performance was one of the headliners on the main stage so you can bet about a half to two thirds of attendees were there, so 30,000~40,000 in the crowd there...

It's not just the music, their best feature is the crowd-interaction. All bands early in the day try to get interaction by making the crowd do tricks (all the ladies, left side, jump, sit, as if the crowd is a dog), but on the 3rd day of a festival people don't want that when they just woke up with a hangover. This guy knows perfectly how to connect to the crowd and after a few songs everyone is happy to do a vleeskolk (meat swirl) for them.

Lowlands holds about 60 000 visitos, one of the bigger festivals on dutch soil, since 1967 Pinkpop festival is also worth to check out if any song is requested

In the music clip they used augmented reality (don't know for sure if it is called like that) to create a massive crowd of people that are dancing around him and that's why the crowd of Lowlands is doing the same. You must see the original clip. It's amazing and creepy at the same time.

The only bad thing about this festival is that the middle of the crowd was blocked off by a path. In other life versions the crowd was able to do a full giant circle pit. I've seen multiple circle pits before but how this band does it with the singer in the middle in all of the crowd is truly something unique.

Whenever they play this song, the crowd always reenact the video that came with this song. In that video the singer stands in the middle of a (CGI) crowd that circles him to the beat of the music. Fun fact, more than often the singer actually goes into the crowd and the people will do that circle dance around him and he directs their movements. (there are several live videos where that does happen, sadly that wasnt possible this time) When that happens... its so freakin powerful to watch, yeah we got some nice acts down here and this most certainly is one of them hehehe. At our music festivals things happen you do not usually see, like Rage Against the Machine causing an actual earthquake when performing "Killing in the name" (live at pinkpop) or John Coffey who's standing on the shoulders of people in the audience and catching a flying cup of beer midair and drinking the leftover, singers and guitarist going for crowd-surfing while performing... thats just your average Tuesday at our festivals lol. If you ever get the chance to visit our little nation... make sure you're here during the festival season, you will love it. (and another fun fact, for countless musicians, our festivals are on top of their list to perform at because everyone knows that the real party.. is right here in the Netherlands) So yes, do visit some day and get yourself some Pinkpop and Lowlands tickets, you wont regret it. Now i have to add, all this shameless promoting of my own little nation is fine and all, but really.. its is all of Europe who do have the most amazing Music Festivals, Like Wacken open air in Germany, Tomorrowland (EDM) in Belgium, Sziget Festival in Hungary, Glastonbury in the UK, Rock en Seine in France, and Rock am Ring & Rock im Park in Germany to name just a few amazing festivals in our direct region. Thnx for this one, it's always a good day when the Witchdoctor pays a visit ;)

I've been to several shows of de staat and they always seem to have a grip on the audience, new and long time fans. If he says dance, you dance. If he is silent, the whole crowd shuts up. It's unreal
