If you look closely, you can see something flying out from under the car when he's in the middle of turns 3 & 4 on his first lap, crazy. I came here purposely because of Tony Furr's sit down with Dale Jr. to find it.

the cars ran at a much higher rpm, most teams were turning 6600-7000 rpm, the gibbs cars were turning about 7400-7700 rpm.

All the real good drivers wheelin Dodges between 2001 - 2012 and they didnt win a championship til their last year. Does anyone know if they would've stayed in Cup if Keselowski didnt win in 2012 or was it already decided to leave before he won? Also am i more nuts than i realised or did he say that Sterling won the 500 in 95 and 96? Hope everyone's doing good and staying safe.

They’ve made that call in August of 2012 to leave nascar after that season as Penske was going back to Ford (which funnily enough they were driving in this video) for the 2013 season. Brad winning the championship was the last hurrah for Dodge.

Which is completely insane because they all knew chad and had met him. Chad has been around since 95’ I think. He started at Hendrick then dale called him in 98-99’ and hired him at DEI and chad just moved teams for the 2001 season. They all said he was difficult to work with. Dale was layed back I in a 5 wide pack and if you were a person that got started or panicked easy dale Sr would get rid of you in a heart beat. It didn’t like “drama queens” he called him.

How did Dodge screw him over? Melling Racing had mediocre results for several years due to a relative lack of funding. They weren't the powerhouse they were when the Elliotts were there.

Fox ruined NASCAR coverage and ratings. Fox put Speed Channel out of business. Fox is getting out of every type of racing which is great because NBC sports is now making a big push for covering all forms of racing. NBC sports is way better than Fox.
