I have had a fantastic response to my video yesturday about the Surrey Connect Digital Demand Responsive Transport service (DDRT).
There was some great comments about the availability of service in certain areas as well as suggestions for destination stops, especially at strategic locations like rail stations.
I took it upon myself to meet with the lead DDRT officer from the Passenger Transport Group this morning to get a full briefing on how the service works, any limitations, how they determine routes and coverage and how the feedback input I get from residents about getting routes/stops added.
This video (I hope) explains all of that.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my original video and I hope this clarifies things a little.
The great thing is that the service is highly flexible, so where it needs to adapt, there is always scope to do that.
