I haven't got my DDM4 mk18 r3 yet but if my rail is 9.5" and my barrel is 10.3" and If i put the nomad 30 on it using the direct thread or the dead air kemo flash hdr does anyone know if it would sit flush with the rail or what direction shall i go to get it flush? Any comments would be really helpful and appreciated..I'm doing a ton of research and wanna get the right setup

Did you notice any difference in suppression with the Keymo vs DT mount?

Either this or the new Energetic Vox will be the next can purchase but leaning heavily towards the Nomad. I'm already invested in Dead Air mounts since I have a Sandman K so definitely would be going Keymo either way.

Jeremy Wills I have the same debate as well however I think I’m going towards vox. It uses the dead key mo too. It’s similar in weight, sound, and size however the vox is cheaper and is probably the most durable silencer ever created.. easy win in my book

I went with the Vox s. It's lighter, shorter, cost less, and stronger than the Nomad and the Sandman S. The Nomad is just 1-2 db quieter than the Vox s without the wipe, but the same with the wipe.

Why wrench flats on the inside of the mount? Seems like you would have to cut the can open to get to them.
@Capitolarmory
@Capitolarmory 6 жыл бұрын
Those would be used if you get the mount stuck on the end of the rifle without the can on there.

So if I know I want to run the suppressor using the key-mo mount, I’m going to add weight and length. Where does that put the nomad compared to the sandman s? Do I still have gains in dB and back pressure that would outweigh the loss in bombproof durability over the sandman s?
@keithchavez7190
@keithchavez7190 6 жыл бұрын
HawkeyeMO72 with Key Mo the Nomad ends up being longer and heavier than the S. It is still a few dB quieter. I would like to have one and leave it direct thread for bolt guns. That being said I already have an S and a K for rifles. So I wouldn’t want a longer heavier AR can.
@HawkeyeMO72

Keith Chavez Are you happy with your Sandman S?
@keithchavez7190
@keithchavez7190 6 жыл бұрын
HawkeyeMO72 I love it. But, quieter and lighter is always nice. It is strong as you can get, has a great mount, and suppresses well.
@HawkeyeMO72
@HawkeyeMO72 6 жыл бұрын
Keith Chavez thanks for the reply. Mine would be solely for a 14.5” BCM in 5.56. Already have the dead air flash hider pinned and welded. I like the fact that the S is “bullet proof” but wonder if the nomad’s better suppression and less gas blowback would be enough to win me over. I’m not super concerned about the mount flexibility as I don’t intend to run it on anything else.
@keithchavez7190

HawkeyeMO72 Mike Papas said in the Jeremy S video on Full30 that the Sandman was lower back pressure. If I were buying right this second and was looking for a first can that was tank strong I would look at the VOX. It will be a little more expensive as you will have to buy the KeyMo for it to work on your gun. However, if you were looking for a super quiet, light weight can that would still stand up to anything you can throw at it I would buy the Nomad. I like the versatility of it and it is said to be about the quietest thing in that form factor. I still love the S though. I don’t want to post it here but I have a place you can get the Nomad for $660 shipped. Don’t know if there is a private message system on here or not.

@jasonmyers4685
@jasonmyers4685 6 жыл бұрын
The Golf Life under most? No. I’m in the market for a new can for an under rail pistol build and the Nomad was a front runner until I saw the width. It’s one of the widest cans on the market from what I’ve been looking at. The EA VOX is a better option if you want under the rail.

So I’m looking to buy this can for my 5.56 AR. I’m assuming I also need to buy a mount (key mo or e brake) AND a 5.56 end cap?
@Capitolarmory
@Capitolarmory 6 жыл бұрын
You would need some type of mounting system, either a QD setup or a 1/2x28 direct thread. The eBrake and 5.56 end cap are completely optional accessories.

So basically since all my stuff is semi-auto, this should be perfect, with occasional rapid fire.
@Stephen-br6il
@Stephen-br6il 4 жыл бұрын
The sandman is rated for full auto. Its louder, heavier and built of better materials then the nomad. The nomad is quieter. Even more with the muzzle brake attachment. Its rated for small bursts of semi auto. 6-8 shots per min, if I recall. The nomad is made of stainless steel. The sandman of stelite.

@@DMHal01 On a real note though... this is the kind of garbage that's wrong with people. Instead of supporting something you enjoy (I suspect you enjoy shooting or you wouldn't be here) you decide to try to insult people actively supporting the 2nd Ammendment. I spend time to put things out here to educate people on suppressor choices. I spend my free time hunting and shooting, and I spend my work hours helping people with NFA items. I don't care at all what people look like, or if they have life choices I don't agree with. They support the second amendment, and that's what matters. You could be doing something in support of firearms... but instead you want to talk about how some guy looks on youtube and make assumptions. Not only does that attitude hurt the 2nd amendment as a whole, it's a little creepy and sad.
