We already know what's been happening to the United States because of the name, but it's nice to be able to root for a completely separate country fighting for its life on the day1 to possibly get this under control and subduing it so possible help might be coming for the nations that lost to the dead. Only detriment to England succeeding in the British tendency to ignore critical occurrences or just not take things as seriously as it needs to be taken. The problem with zombie media existing in this universe is that the moments an official says "zombies" the British people are much more likely to just laugh it off and ignore it from that point on until they get ripped apart, even though labeling this as zombies is the easiest way to convey what the problem is and how to fix the situation.

An absolutely terrific story, part of a great series! while the series has zeroed in on the zombie plague in America, I was hoped to see a story showing what happens in other countries, and here it is!! What is great is that we see how efficiently the London hospitals and police move against the growing chaos, to the point that the listener cannot help but hope they can actually get ahead of the disaster. this takes place in a time before the London constabulary were armed, and it is especially chilling to think of the police facing a growing army of zombies armed with only batons. This story was so good, I could not believe how fast three and a half hours passed as I listened to it! What I also liked about this story is how quickly the cops on the ground move to spread communication to higher ups, to the government and intelligence services. I also loved how this story shows something that has been missing in other entries into this series. And that is the speed and efficacy of social media. With the preponderance of social media today, zombie attacks would be getting filmed and shown on the internet virtually before anyone else saw anything. Films taken of zombie attacks would be everywhere on the internet within minutes of the actual event. Word of what was happening would spread on social media even faster than the plague itself. In this story they see the film of a zombie outbreak at a night club in NYC, and the horrific scene confirms all the fears of the London police who are watching it. The scene that was also very interesting was when the Prime Minister, who is ill, decides to tell the public the truth. This illustrated, very clearly, why it is that the government does have to keep secrets from the public, however we may resent it. The Prime Minister has basically told half of London's population that they are under a 36 hour death sentence, and that there is nothing that can be done. And, unfortunately the public cannot be depended on to act rationally. Mass panic results, making all the efforts of the authorities to control the situation useless. The actions of the police captain were very brave and very admirable. The protagonists flight to the safe house is nerve wracking. I was glad that the two main protagonists, Price and Ward, got to at least temporary safety. they are the kind of people who would be needed to save and re-build society. This was a terrific story, and it would be great to see more like this one.

Hands down your best piece in my opinion!! Typically I enjoy the shorter stories because I tend to listen to them before bed and unfortunately the KZbin app doesn’t have a sleep timer and so with long stories I always had to figure out where I fell asleep and all that jazz. But that aside, this piece was phenomenal, I loved the AI voice because it had a lot of inflection. Tatian and I think it even had different voices as well which was awesome, and the other thing having that, is you were able to tease out so much nuance that’s part of British culture that a lot of people don’t think are even aware of outside of England if they have a relation to England. And when you had incorporated those little cultural nuances within the storyline. It was an absolute Joy! Bravo on a very much appreciated and well detailed addition to your zombie Chronicles. I am looking forward to seeing how this international expansion of the zombie apocalypse evolves. My profound gratitude for your talents and sharing them freely with all of us to enjoy thank you so much.

Hell yeah. The lack of decent firearms in the uk should make for interesting stories. Mosy people think the cant have most firearms but its not true. They can. Its just a little harder to get them. They can have shotguns and rifles(not ar/ak style) but handguns are banned. I think as of 2023 theres like 1,200,000 gun registered there. 600k certificate holders. Crazy how little legal guns there are there. Wonder what the illegal numbers look like.

I guess I'm not one of the good ones because when the doctor explained how they would multiple that quick I would have said , yes Captain, I will get right on it then go out the side door. Quickly calling family and friends to get out, then get supplies and weapons, find somewhere we would have water or very strong walls so we can survive. Sad, I know. It is what it is.😢😂
