That was a great addition! What a setting, A small theme park, with a train! I love it. This one has all the makings of adding additional episodes. Secure compound with fencing, food to last a few months and a couple deadly folks that can reach out with their weapons. What fun. Thanks Derek!

Another terrific story in a great series! I really like this one, because it is a very different locality and situation-----a Wild West theme park! (I just have to say----I think that a theme park ride where you ride on a train that enters a haunted town and gets attacked by zombies would be a FABULOUS park ride!) What I really liked was that the story keeps to the theme of the series, while still happening in a very different location from where most of the other stories are located. In this story, the writer give the listener an excellent idea of how the police force would be overcome so quickly. This, in turn would just make thing far worse for the "civilian" population. Everyone would be used to turning to the police and other authorities for help and to control the disaster, but those authorities would be among the first to die, which would just spread the panic and disaster. It also gives the listener a great taste of what it would be like to the among the first to witness the zombie plague explode, and trying helplessly, and futilely, to warn anyone about what was happening. Seriously, you call anyone and yell "zombie" into the phone and what do you think the reaction would be? Just a suggestion: when you call the authorities, don't tell them about zombies. Tell them it's a fire, or a bomb went off, or a gang of drugged out people are attacking and killing people. Something that will warn the person you are talking to that the situation is serious, but that won't make them think you are crazy. And as for Gabe, the cowardly boss? I don't know why all the survivors seem to keep trusting him. Personally I would have used him for zombie bait. I was so happy that our heroes all survived, They have a really good setup, and a genuinely good chance of making it long term. I loved the happy ending. I really like these long stories. The length allows for a far more detailed story. I am looking forward to others in future. Just like this story shows, there are SO many scenarios where a zombie plague would be staged. Most "zombie" stories take place in big cities. These stories are the stories that take place in all the other stories that take place in various interesting places, hospitals, toy stores, shopping malls, tv studios, subway trains, apartment buildings, etc. etc. I don't know why no one ever thought of this before, but I am very glad that this writer did!.. a really terrific story, highly recommended!

There is a movie called The Funhouse Massacre that has a similar concept. Except zombies it's 6 serial killers at a horror festival. Despite the low budget it was highly entertaining.

Is this based on the ghost town in the sky theme park? I remember going there as a kid,maybe five or six, with my grandfather and grandmother I’ve still got an old picture of me and my grandfather on the gondola lift. Sadly I think it is shut down now or at lest that is the last news I heard about the place a few years back

@DerekSlatonHorrorAuthor most don't, my comment is more for general revolvers. I've seen so many people break them that way
@Andrew-if3sd3 ай бұрын
Does 'cowboy' in this case, mean the same as 'fanning' the hammer with heel of hands?
@robertconner59273 ай бұрын
@Andrew-if3sd no, it is when you spin the cylinder and flipping it closed. The rotation will bend parts of the gun. You can by reinforced ones but they are custom jobs and not common
@VikingRWRАй бұрын
Fudd lore. Same type of person to tell you to not dry fire because it can damage the hammer. As if the hammer doesn't meet an explosion every time you fire the weapon.
