These guys are not trying to be the Grateful Dead. They are Dead and Company. They are keeping the Dead music and vibe alive and are passing it along to the next generation. Deadheads should be thrilled that a guitar master like John Mayer has fallen in love with their music and is helping to propel it further along that long strange trip that started oh so long ago. Dead music has always evolved. From their Blues heavy origins with acid rock flavor through folk and country influences and past the disco dead era and into the 80s and 90s while never forgetting their hippie peace and love foundation. This is the next generation and I for one am here for it and have nothing but gratitude in my heart for all the joy and love they have given me and continue to spread throughout this new century birthing the next generation of Deadheads. Much love to all.

Very well said Don!! It was nice to see! I wasn’t a Deadhead but my friend saw much of their music and thought it was great!! I thought it was great as music in general!! From what I understand there are two original members!! There is one weekend left, unless they add more, this weekend at the Sphere! It was a great show!!!

That is probably the best venue in the world.

The huge visuals are a distraction from the music that just doesn't do it. Its not the Grateful Dead no matter how hard they try.

Did you go? I thought the visuals were great…. That’s half of the attraction of having it AT the Sphere. I’m not a GD fan,… they have two original members but of course it’s not the original! I thought it was good overall! Glad to get to see it.
