Silent Hill is a new Chapter for Dead by Daylight. It includes a new Killer, The Executioner, and a new Survivor, Cheryl Mason.
The Silent Hill Chapter also introduces a new map, Midwich Elementary School: the childhood trauma that once took place in its halls has since manifested itself into a twisted, nightmarish design. The new Killer is The Executioner: take control of Pyramid Head and wield his great knife to unleash his twisted brand of punishment on all who cross him. The new Survivor is Cheryl Mason, a courageous, outspoken woman who survived the hellish Otherworld of Silent Hill, and exacted revenge on the Order that killed her father. With experience beyond her years, she's prepared to once again stand against any evil that confronts her.

The gameplay is literally the same, but not without its new issues, such as awful performance and tendency to CRASH. There's literally a 2 hour long analysis video on the subject matter if you want to get blown the fuck away. REmake1 is a 10/10 game, but it is not a replacement for the original RE. Only literal underaged graphix whores would skip the OG RE1, and thus miss one of the major appeal point of the REmake as well: it's masterfully designed new content, that's meant to surprise veteran players. Please consider sucking up a cactus.

I think they should have still gone with Heather, that's how people know her. She doesn't go by Cheryl until AFTER the game and they clearly modeled her off the game version of Heather. But Pyramid Head also isn't in SH3 so none of this really makes sense in terms of lore so the devs were probably just going for whatever would work the best and put 2 iconic characters together, even if it didn't make sense. They didn't even put that dark red bags under her eyes which are a really important detail for her character
