Sometimes I go to the distillery just for a change of pace... It never ends well. I also feel it's worth noting if you're not on 5BC this is the only way to get the barrel launcher, which I feel is an underrated weapon.

Pretty sure even in 5BC you can still only get the blueprint in the distillery since malaise-spawned enemies never drop blueprints.

Learning this biome was brutal but it feels so rewarding when you know the specific patterns of the traps and the nature of the biome itself, I come here on occasion when I feel i hate myself but then come out of the biome like 'oh that wasn't so bad lol' but great analysis you earned a new sub.

The learning curve on this one is steep but once you get acclimated it's (usually) not too bad. Some of those room generations can be brutal, though! "I come here on occasion when I feel I hate myself" never mind the mutation, that's the true masochist right there lol

Thanks for the fantastic guide. The tip to take the Masochist mutation turned out to be the most critical and helpful for me. I grabbed a Hunter's Grenade and had planned to use it on the Living Barrels. Then, right before my run, I watched a full run on KZbin and read the gg wiki entry on Living Barrels and that convinced me not to even try that, especially because there are so many of them and the 10% Tesla Coil drop rate is really high. So I used it on an Infected Worker instead to pick up the Barrel Launcher as someone pointed out in the comments since the Barrel Launcher has a much lower drop rate. That fight itself was pretty harrowing and cost me a couple flasks but I got it. After that, given your other tips to be careful and watch the barrel patterns before moving forward made the run much easier than I expected. Granted, I had Alucard's Sword and Shield with freezing affixes on enemy death and that helped a lot. Not a single Living Barrel lived long enough to explode and I got out of the level with all the scrolls and both blueprints.

I'm glad this video was helpful! That run sounds pretty great (aside from the tough elite Infected Worker fight). It's so satisfying to put those Living Barrels in their place. Now that you have both of the exclusive blueprints you are free :D

If the game wasn't designed around never getting hit EVER. It's a really fun biome, one of the best for sure. But that's not the reality of the game, unfortunately.

I always choose the dammed offix for cursed sword damage and no one tap curses for extra scrolls wich are very useful

I have been playing since 2BC on Mobile and I am not a very good player at all but somehow I have been able to defeat enemies like the Scarecrow and Giant using the Rapier, my personal favorite weapon. I always choose the Castle due to the Distillery's chaos always killing me and the Shipwreck being a rather tame biome...but the Servants always kick my ass. I must say I really need to have more variation in my play. I can't just blitz biomes using the Rapier and go through the same DLC levels again. This video has made me want to check out the Distillery for myself.

Rapier is a beast of a weapon, I can't blame you for using it so much! Distillery can be tough but I hope you enjoy it and get the Tesla Coil if you haven't already. I agree with you about Shipwreck, it's really large and tame overall. Sets the scene for the Lighthouse but feels anticlimactic compared to how intense the Servants fight is.

The legendary version of Machete and Pistol only uses the last attack - it totally changes the weapon, super OP!

I like the vibe and concept of the Distillery, but I just find the barrel damage way too punishing for something that's so hard to avoid. And it's a late game biome, so I've probably spent an hour by this point and just want to get to HoTK with flask charges. I think the biome deserves a rework. Cap the default barrel damage, reconsider enemy selection, add a food shop and it might become a good alternative to the high peak castle.

So i just completed 0BC A bunch of stuff is unlocked Didn't get the soul cell cause of the power i chose at the beginning. Now i'm wondering is it worth it to kill the final boss again to play 1BC or do i just play the dlcs? Be cause i fell i've pretty much had my fill with the game and now aiming to enjoy and complete the dlcs . And also, Thank you for reading this long comment ❤

@@mahdioualane If you've already gotten some good stuff out of the game and want to check out the DLCs before moving on, then you should go for it! 1BC is a bitharder than 0BC and doesn't have much added content so you're not missing a lot. If you're just looking to enjoy the game casually and see what else is there you can also use the assist mode options to lower enemy/trap damage and enemy health, and to give unlimited lives.

I'm currently trying to get the launcher blueprint cause it was fun to use when i got it as a random legendary item. Hopefully the tips will help me survive. Any weapon recommendations for this location to try to make it easier.

I'd recommend trying a survival build for the higher HP, but with a faster weapon so you're not leaving yourself open with the long swings from heavier items. Baseball Bat/Throwable Objects is really reliable, could also try Shovel or the Sewing Scissors. If you like two handed weapons, Ice Crossbow would be good too since you can use the ice shot to crowd control the living barrels and other bothersome enemies. Good luck!

Sometimes i prefer the distillery than the castle tbh, its easier if you have a coward weapon set because there is no enemys hitting you through the walls and you can skip the barrel laucher part completely. Idk why the trophy of beating the zone w/o the barrel laucher is so rare like i did it at my 1st try and i didnt see any videos about it

Oh, totally! Sometimes it just makes sense to go there if you have the right build. I flew through it with both the legendary Pistol and 5x Cross builds I had in some of the footage. I bet that the Born Sapper trophy is so rare because people who aren't hunting the plat will go to the Distillery once or twice and don't go back to try to get the trophy,

I hear you! It's interesting how they put a curse and a legendary altar in Fractured Shrines (the "other" trap biome) to incentivize going there but haven't done anything to buff the Distillery rewards yet. More stat(s) and a few less barrel cannons would make this place *chefs kiss*
