Thanks, this put a big smile on my face. Great visuals, huh, use to be back in the day, we ingested substances, then illegal, now are therapeutic, to get visuals like that at the shows. DeadHeads have always been both ahead and behind the times, at all times and all most never always now and forever.....PeaceOrElse

Thank you for posting this vid. From everything I’ve seen and heard, looks like a great opening night at the Sphere. Maybe a few mic adjustments and major tapers focus on all band members.

Ah the Silver guitar makes an appearance again, the McCarty 594. Probably my favorite Mayer dead and co tone.

And don’t forget the 170,000-speaker HOLOPLOT multi-layered audio system. Oh yeah, there’s space for people, too. Seating for 17,500 includes 23 private suites - all inside a domed monitor to provide an immersive experience. So if you were entranced by the 580,000-square-foot “exosphere” - each LED is the size of a hockey puck - get ready for a high-res experience like nothing you’ve ever seen on the inside. As U2 guitarist The Edge reminds, this place was built for entertainment, not sports.

When they got to the jam part of Saint Stephen, I realized these guys definitely are still riding that wave of musical chemistry clicking that they had going on last summer. I mean they are just a monstrous band and they deal with this music in such an expert way. Super tight, yet constantly spontaneous, and totally hooked up. I miss the sound of Phil's Bass, but Bob's guitar playing has always been one of the most important parts of Grateful Dead music and he is basically dueling leads. as foJerry, well, he's been gone so long, the Grateful Dead actually existed for just about as long without him as they did with him .... so the days of it being hard to go see the remaining members play and that huge void being there, they have faded. I know that Jerry would think what John was doing was pretty cool. There are so many people that miss out on it because they're throwing off by some surface level thing like John Mayer being there or the tempos of the songs not being with their used to, but if you can get your head out of your ass you will realize that this is some the very best Grateful Dead music that will have ever been played....

for those that were there , how was the sound quality ?
@francofroggАй бұрын
I wasn't there but it seems to be very cavernous and not loud. Not a good combo IMO, especially with GD music played so lifelessly.

@@matthewmaurysmith2486 because this band ISNT the Grateful Dead man. No Garcia, no Lesh, no Kreutzman. It’s simple.
