I wish this show was better because conceptually, it's pretty neat and with enough cooking under the oven and less relying on modern cartoon tropes and structure, it could have been one of Netflix's best when it comes to animated shows. Oh well, at least we still have Scavengers Reign and Fired on Mars to compensate.

Just wanted to provide a counter-point for 31:17 - 33:14, regarding the scene with Norma coming out as bisexual to Logs... *ahem* Now then, is this scene exactly subtle? Not really. Are there better-written arcs on other LGBT characters in media out there? Undoubtedly. But I do like to give credit for a "kids" show, as in marketed towards a demographic older than Bluey but younger than Bojack Horseman for being THIS open about it. No matter what you may think of it execution wise (and yes, I know this show isn't quite a masterpiece), it's kinda rare (not in this decade of animation in particular, but in all time) for a show like this to openly talk about this sort of topic in a more sedate, calm scene. Kipo, TOH and Steven Universe did it beforehand but this show gets to join this still kinda small group of openly LGBT kids shows. This goes to show how kids shows and even adult shows don't have to be constant high-speed lowest-common-denominator jokes or jingling keys in your face every few seconds like Teen Titans Go or Velma with their non-stop pandering humour. If every single show airing rn was loud, in-your-face, wacky, jokey with no brakes, there would be no variety to help your kids develop their tastes and understanding of atmosphere. Kids sometimes need a slower, calmer pace with more sensitivity in what they watch. Sesame Street, Arthur, Mr Rogers, Bluey, all shows that used more calm vibes to teach messages to kids. Heck, even some adult toons like Bojack and Fired on Mars relied on a more sedate pace despite being comedies. Furthermore, the way I see it, you don't just have to be bi or gay yourself to find the scene relatable. I, myself, being autistic, like Norma canonically is in this show, can find it hard to come out about anything, any kind of interest, I could replace being bi with just coming out about your feelings for anything, something you could just be shy to admit that you like, an interest in a particular hobby or whatever. So, in my opinion, I reckon many autistic people, LGBT or otherwise, could find something to relate with Norma, one of the more interesting and compelling characters in this show. But hey, you're the kinda guy who prefers action and explosions in your media while I can find something to enjoy in more atmospheric stuff, while also liking some fast-paced yet still fun, well-written silly stuff for good measure. We all have our tastes and views and that's all that matters. Just my thoughts, anyway.
