That is a l6006 n , mount on aqua -stat .which is always put on the return , i can tell you . This is on the supply , and if its wired to open /or close on set temperature is the real question you should look at . Open the cover R-W-B . Wire any two for make or break on temp. Problem solved 😮

I swear the camera picks up the electricity running to the ports at the bottom of the boiler

Saw that ,done that . Lower the boiler to 160 ,problem goes away . Or have the pump startup at a lower temp to help lower the pipe temp. The 160 is good for baseboard and radiant heat . The 180 to 190 for water to air heat .

Airlock? Try bleeding the system of all air.
