I am one of the so called baby boomers 75 yrs old and so like so many others my eyes are getting old . I have always subscribed,hit like and commented on my iPads. I am leaving this message on my tablet which is easy , however my eyes are already telling me get the heck off this tablet before you go blind. So back to my 75in flat screen to watch your video which is a pleasure to watch. There are 40 stupid buttons on my smart tv remote and believe me I have tried everything possible and failed to find a way to leave a like , thumbs up or message . And to be honest when things are not easy why would any one bother to try. This message is in response to your message to your followers . Unfortunately Gly hadn't noticed the tortoise, except when he looked back at the recording. He went back to that mine in episode 42 to check, but the poor tortoise was dead.

Love this new intro. I know some people like to listen to your videos while falling asleep, and the old intro kinda ruins that process. You're just so comfortable to listen to. Like the Carl Sagan of caves! Also, did you not notice the turtle until reviewing the footage? I found that hilarious. Crawls right past a turtle deep in an abandoned mine and "Oh look, bats!"

11:52 Episode 61, so far my favorite of Gly’s channel. This is my introduction to Abandoned and Forgotten Places and became a subscriber immediately. Hopefully I recall correctly that this is Randy’s first episode. I still love the original intro with Rusty Bucket, Old Bob parked in front of the entrance, Gly’s mismatching boots and the butt scratch, a classic historic moment in mine exploration😎👍🏻🫶🏻

Episode 61 was my first episode as well. I ended up binge watching a bunch of episodes that night and have been watching regularly for 9 months now. I'm severely claustrophobic so I have no idea why I love this channel so much. There are times when Gly is in a tight, cramped spot and I'm watching between a gap in my fingers while my hand is in front of my face. Like I'm watching a horror flick. Yet I keep coming back for more.

WELL, that was different. With regard to shadow banning that you discussed last week. your channel is usually on the first page when I open youtube on Saturday. It wasn't there when I opened it today, it was the 61st channel in sequence. Note that I've been a subscriber for several years (I think I joined around episode 30), and I always click the like button and probably 75% of the time leave a comment. SO, what can I say, Gly... If you reach the point where you don't come up on the first, or maybe 2nd page, I go straight to your channel to select the latest video. As long as you keep exploring mines, I'll keep watching your channel. Stay safe, buddy..............

The funny thing about these is that I remember them so clearly, because it's not very often we see wild animals even in the open, but when you're in a mine, you see even less of them, but every now and then these pack-rats make an appearance and that Turtle, that you failed to notice, right Gly? Or did you? But the skunks were the ones that command respect...or else! LOL Hey did you see a cougar once? Now those big cats are GRUMPY when they see a Human, it's like they hate the sight of us or something, just seeing us makes them angry! And they have no problems letting us know about it! LOL That is why Gly carries when mine exploring, Sometimes it pays to have a .357 magnum when you come around the corner of a mine and come face to face with a black bear! It's at that point you're glad you decided to bring a high powered handgun with you. I wouldn't bring anything smaller than a .357 Magnum, but I think my go to would be a Ruger Redhawk chambered in .454 Casull, it may only carry 5 rounds, but you only need one shot to end a bear.

Nice flashback episode. The sheep/mountain goat reminds me of the time my boys and I went snorkelling the local river and found a baby deer skeleton wedged under some rocks under water. Skull still had some brain in it - stunk up the whole pic-nic area with it.
