To anyone calling this song racist, this song isn't about 'race', it's about people. People that have been scorned by society and it's so-called standards. If you can't take one song giving them some uplift, you need to take a serious look in the mirror.

From a white man... excellent song, excellent video. Celebrate what makes us special... Everyone is beautiful, and it doesn't take implants or a weave. Love these guys for telling it like it is, from "The Hood" to "The Beauty Within". Real music about real people.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video! As someone who constantly puts herself down for not looking like the majority of the women considered beautiful, this really moved me. I decided to go natural a year ago and am still having a hard time seeing the beauty in myself. This video moved me to tears. Thank you so much!

I appreciate the simplicity of the woman in the video. TWA, light makeup, and I'm in love with her earlobes. I also appreciat that her outfit is also simple, not all that designer expensive shit that many black women cannot afford (including the ones that have it). Simplistic and beautiful at the same damn time.

Man, very few rappers give me goose bumps when they rhyme. DEAD PREZ for years and a very select few others do. As a rapper myself, much love, respect and admiration goes out to artists like Dead Prez. The reason why Dead Prez isn't massively famous all over MTV is the views they share. The world does not want real music. They do not and have lost the original intention of music and poetry in rap. That is music that comes from the heart, that reflects the utmost pure intentions of the soul. If you say and believe you are "real". Keep an open mind, change who you talk to, listen to, what you believe if it is believed and pursued in the mainstream society, chances is it is wrong for you and you will be a better person for going against the grain. Beauty isn't skin deep. Beauty shines through the soul. If you believe you are real, then be real. If you believe you are real strive hard for perfection not in a worldly definition but one that when you die doesn't have a shallow and hollow history. Share this song with others. Much love Dead Prez. one love.

I'm from Germany , i loved always the look of afro american or african woman , you're born with the most naturality in my eyes on this planet. They way they move , speak and do things are very beautiful! I can't understand why the Afro american women do all kind of surgeries , make up and other things which are changing their nature ? Why you want smooth hair and a bright skin ? Are you crazy a lot of white / bright women would die for your colour !!! My wife is from the Ivory Coast and stays natural at all ! My advise to the US Afro American women ==> look over the sea to your african roots dont look up to fake Hollywood Nicki Minaj ! Every women on this planet got a natural beauty! Stay yourself ALWAYS and youll find the right love, the right man, the right feeling! DONT BE AFRAID , OF WHAT ? Peace from Germany !!!

African women are so beautiful, and i love seeing black women with their natural hair. I don't wear make up or shave, dye or cut my hair, because i believe that all-knowing God created us the way we are for a reason and nothing needs to be added or removed. Every woman is a queen just as she is. I'm a blonde nordic woman, which is awesome too, even though i'm jealous to my african sisters sometimes, because they really are soo beautiful.
