Wait until the Remake comes out. I'm sure the USG Ishimura will have a lot more to explore and I'm hoping to explore the sewer systems like in Dead Space Extraction.

The Ishimura is like the Event Horizon: lost. Until she mysteriously starts transmitting a signal from a rift in space, where she was thrown during the destruction of Aegis VII....oh wait, we've already been there! Fun trivia, Ishimura basically means Rock Breaker in Japanese.

Loving the lore. Also i just finished your dead space ships video and i looked up the names of all the ships in 3 and they’re all named after failed expeditions except the brusilov and roanoke
@cainmathewson18573 жыл бұрын
The Roanoke colony of Virginia disappeared without a trace in 1585. Brusilov was a Russian commander most notable for his offensive in WW1. Not sure what he has to do with it. The Roanoke makes sense in hindsight (although I would have real bad vibes being a crew member)

@@Musical_Mayo I know that the Dead Space lore begins with the Battle of the Bering Sea. It took place in the 22nd century and was between Russia and the US. No winner was ever declared but the damage of the conflict was so great (combined with environmental disasters) that many nations came together, I think you were right that Russia was one of the initial biggies, to create the Sovereign Colonies

Dead Space remake idea: At 9:37, you have a sphere of rock being processed. In the remake, have it instead be a cylinder of rock being processed, with the interior being like an old-fashioned pencil sharpener. So you still have to jump on the asteroid chunk and get outside before getting 'processed', but you also have to plant the beacon far enough out that the beacon doesn't get processed. The farther out you plant the beacon the more time you have to do stuff internally, but the more Necromorphs you have to deal with and the farther you are from an Oxygen station.

It's an awesome ship wish the game had some extras on it and you could read about the history of this famous planet cracker. When I first played DS2 and I saw this ship I was wtf how how is that here at Titan Sprawl ??? And when I realised I was going back on it I saved my game and took a day off as I knew it was going to be crazy, and I wasn't disappointed.

This was a great vid and was glad to see all the details the devs put into a fictional ship? I would love it if you do this for other Dead Space Locations like the Space vessels in Dead Space 3 or Ageis 7 . Or even better it would interesting to see how each deck effected the way the corruption formed more in certain locations than others!

Its really weird because the ship doesnt have much crew at all if the 1000 Number is true even tho its supposed to be such a massive flagship. If you look at World War 2 Battleships for example crews of 1000-2000 people were pretty much standard. Now of course many things would be automated and work would be done by machines not requiring such a large amount of crew members but still its quite curious.
@toddkes58902 жыл бұрын
Automation, plus the Mining Decks had storage for the minerals being mined. Those could be large empty areas that don't need a lot of people (similar to modern container ships and fuel tankers)

Was it possible to play anything from Japan in the USG Ishimura prior to the events of Dead Space?
@tobiasbracknagel49982 жыл бұрын
Unlikely. While the ship is named after a (fictional, of course) japanese scientist, who is credited to have invented the deep space drive necessary for deep space exploration, the CEC (who built and owned the USG Ishimura) is not a japanese company, but a multiplanet organisation.
